As someone who browses and purchases from Anthropologie often, my mother and I were very disappointed in the Devon location. No one greeted us nor paid any attention until my hands were full of clothes; that was when I was asked if I needed a fitting room. In the fitting room and in the store, I felt uncomfortable and out of place as the staff acted as if they were above me and gave disapproving looks. Not that it should matter, but I was dressed appropriately and was put together, but the staff did not treat me as such. No one should be on the receiving end of the condescending treatment my mother and I experienced.

I had a truly disappointing experience at Anthropologie due to horrible customer service. I was “assisted” by two women whose behavior was anything but helpful. Rather than feeling supported or respected as a customer, I was left feeling dismissed and frustrated. Their attitude came off as indifferent, bordering on rude, and they made what should have been a pleasant shopping experience incredibly stressful.
It’s unfortunate, because I’ve always appreciated Anthropologie’s aesthetic and products, but customer service like this completely undermines the brand’s image. I hope the company takes this kind of feedback seriously—because beautiful clothes mean nothing if the people selling them treat customers poorly.

I had a really disappointing experience at Anthropologie’s bridal section. I went upstairs genuinely excited to browse bridal dresses, but was completely ignored. No one greeted me, asked if I needed help, or explained how anything worked—even though there were multiple staff just sitting and chatting with another bride.
I picked out a few dresses and was holding one up in front of a mirror, and a woman—Asian, mid-30s maybe—got up and physically blocked the mirror and told me, “This is a private fitting, you can go down the hall to the left.” I was thrown off, not just by the tone but by how dismissive it felt. I’ve never been there before, and it would’ve been really helpful if someone had just explained that sooner or more kindly. I wasn’t trying to interrupt anyone—I just didn’t know. I honestly felt like I was being scolded for something no one even took the time to explain.
After that, I found the other mirror she mentioned and tried to keep browsing, but no one offered help or said a word. When I was done, someone finally asked, “Are you done with those?” No thank you, no goodbye—nothing. One of the employees downstairs even gave me a dirty look while I was still shopping.
I left feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and honestly kind of embarrassed. For a bridal space, that’s supposed to be welcoming and celebratory, this felt cold and uninviting. I expected excitement, or at the very least basic courtesy. Definitely not the experience I imagined.

What's not the love at anthropology? You have to go in beautiful stuff for clothing to dishware, to whatever you're looking for a unique experience was a little bit different. You have to go in there and check. And see what I'm talking about, maybe I'll have to go there today. It's that kind of place. Just do you simply wander around?You can't help but live with something in your hand

I’ve been this this location over a dozen times and typically don’t mind it. However I went today and I was followed around the store and judged the entire time. And that was after I wasn’t greeted upon entering, just stared at and then monitored. Start to finish. The associate there came up to me 7x total, followed me into each area and didn’t hide that she was doing it. While I recognize it’s part of their job, 7x is excessive and there were plenty of other customers walking around she did NOT address. I was carrying a white t shirt around and just perusing since my work day ended early. The first few times she approached, I let it go but by the end I was so upset. It was uncomfortable, unwelcoming and disappointing. I’m a regular anthro shopper, like specifically that store - the outfit I was in was entirely recent anthro apparel. I was polite. Folded up anything I unfolded. To feel that targeted was insane and makes me never want to go back. It’s never happened in Glen Mills or KOP so there’s no need to be back there for me. It isn’t hard to be kind to others and welcoming.

I make it a point to stop into this Anthro anytime I'm in the area and have always had a wonderful experience. There's an excellent selection to see and touch items in person and it's really such a beautiful store. I especially love the convenience of making a quick trip into Terrain too Last week there was a slight issue with a purchase and the staff went above and beyond to make things right. I was so impressed by the solution mindset they displayed. If I wasn't already an Anthropolgie fan for life, I would be now.

Great experience with the bridal team. Our consultant was not pushy at all. She was patient and kind, took measurements and helped our group to try on a lot of great dress options.

I like the store itself, very large/beautiful displays. I came in for Christmas shopping and candles are listed on sale and person at the cash register almost rang them up as full price, I had to inform her about the sale. Wish employees actually took account for sales going on in the stores.
