About Chanticleer, a pleasure garden

Chanticleer is a stunning pleasure garden located within an historic estate, just a short drive from Philadelphia. Open from March 27 through November 3, 2024, Wednesday through Sunday, the garden offers a colorful and contemporary outdoor experience celebrated for its beauty and tranquility. Recognized by the Financial Times as "planted to perfection" and praised by Garden Design magazine as "America's most inspiring garden," Chanticleer is a favorite among botany lovers and casual visitors alike. Though not large, the garden is filled with gorgeous wildflowers, exotic plants, and trees. Visitors can enjoy walking through the peaceful spaces, discovering ponds with koi fish and turtles, and admiring artistic structures and unique features. The garden provides a relaxing atmosphere perfect for meditation, photos, or simply enjoying nature. There are picnic tables for outdoor dining, and the garden is designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, with plenty of spots to take in the scenery. Visitors should plan ahead, as parking reservations are available starting March 1. The garden offers clean restrooms and multiple picnic areas, making it an ideal place for a peaceful day out. Whether for exercise, inspiration, or relaxation, Chanticleer provides a beautiful escape into nature’s artistry.
