I love Erika and Mandi. They were so welcome and kind. I didn't stay long but they did their best to accommodate me. If you're willing to put in the effort to get your life back on track, they're there to help you get there. Blessed to have met these ladies and to have had a safe place to lay my head and a warm bite to eat.

Shocked to find out this is a Christian organization, I did not receive a very Christian experience dealing with them. It was an awful experience trying to arrange a residential pickup of items with New Hope Thrift Shop. There were to many instances of calling to confirm if they would come, they wasted a week plus of my time to pick up valuable items that needed to be cleared from my property. They would only decide to pick-up on Tuesday or Thursday and they couldn't even do that. I heard ridiculous excuses about how their availability depended on one man finishing concrete and that they would only confirm by the afternoon of that day if they were coming. Sometimes I had to call since they were slow get back or they would call late afternoon once I left my property. The person I dealt with was very unprofessional and came across with an attitude and I highly wouldn't recommend working with this group unless you want a bad experience.

0 STARRRRRRSSS They told my wife she couldn't come help the people there because she called them out FOR THROWING AWAY DONATIONS AND TELLING SOMEONE TO MIND THEY OWN BUSINESS. SHE WAS TAKING PEOPLE TO THE NAIL SALON GIVING THEM THE SHOES OFF HER FEET... JUMPING IN A DUMPSTER TO PROVE THAT THEY THREW AWAY $1000'S WORTH OF CLOTHES INSTEAD OF GIVING IT TO THE SHELTER ABOVE THEM WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN... THE PERSON THAT KICKED HER OUT WAS WEARING HER PANTS AS SHE TOLD HER SHE COULDNT COME BACK. MY WIFE WAS TOLD BY SOMEONE THAT LIVES THERE THAT THE GAMING SYSTEM THAT WAS GIVEN TO THE SHELTER FOR THE CHILDREN TO PLAY ON WAS SOLD... NOBODYS SEEN THE LEGOS THAT SHE GAVE TO THE CHILDREN... SHE WATCHED AS THEY DESTROYED CHAIRS INSTEAD OF FIXING THEM.. MY WIFE EVEM OFFERED TO DO A CHRISTIAN MURAL FOR FREE BUT THEY HAD TO STOP THROWING THE DONATIONS AWAY THEY REFUSED AND TOLD HER SHE WAS NOT ALLOWED BACK IN THE BUILDING AT ALL AND SHE CAN GO SEE THE PEOPLE AT WORK WHICH COULD GET THEM FIRED DO NOT DONATE TO THIS PLACE THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE KEEP IT FOR THEMSELVES EAT THE FOOD AND THEN SELL THE REST AND MAKE THEM PAY RENT TO STAY THERE MIND YOU... THEN TO GET CLOTHES FROM THE SHELTER THEY HAVE TO GO DOWN STAIRS AND SHOP. MADE MY WIFE CRY... MY WIFE WILL SHARE THE PROOF... ?

Really wanted to check them out. Drove from Chambersburg to visit. Google said open 24 hours but figured that was the shelter portion. Website said they were open. Reached administrative voicemail as there isnt a number for the thrift store. Arrived to find doors locked. Gentleman that runs shelter was bewildered why they didn't open. Said they were supposed to. He said he had many disappointed potential customers show up today to find them closed. Didn't even have a note on the door.On the plus side the building is huge, not sure how much of it is the thrift store vs the shelter but they do have a private lot in the back. They need to update Google and add an extension for the store so other people don't waste a trip.

I would give this Zero Stars if I was able. Terrible people posing as Christians work here. My daughter was looking for American Girl Dolls for my granddaughterThe woman tending the shop targeted my daughter as "poor and not deserving of her business " I am a Christian and never judge another, however this woman did. She told my 6 year old granddaughter that "her mother is poor and can't afford theses dolls" my daughter is a medical professional, an amazing mother and absolutely can afford the dolls. So, unless you want to be judged by your appearance and have a self righteous woman judge you, I would stay away from here. Our Mighty Father in heaven loves us all and any cares about what is in our souls and my daughter has a beautiful soul!!! The sales lady even told my granddaughter that Your mommy is poor and cannot afford theses dolle."

They only accept donations on Tuesdays till 5pm. So after months and my car packed to the brim I took off work to get there before 5pm. When I arrived was informed they felt like closing at 4:00 that day (it was 4:15) and to come back next Tuesday. That won't be happening.

if you are homeless and seeking shelter do not choose this place. pastor bill is extremely rude and the furthest thing from christian. the food is all expired and the place is not clean. they will not provide you with the support you need, and i can absolutely promise you that.

I've volunteered at the thrift store and I always see something that I want to purchase. They have just about everything you could want for just single items or for furnishing a whole new place. I highly recommend stopping by and there you will find something for everyone.

A wonderful shopping experience. Clean atmosphere and efficient cordial Staff. There are even antiques abounding here. And ALL of the prices are definitely reasonable.
