First time here. Will be back again! Very friendly and nice and decent price. The weekend breakfast was great! What a nice convenience! Owners very nice and helpful and accommodating. Love the blackout curtains and simple nice decor. It is on a semi busy road but the back part is wonderful. With the fan on you can’t really hear the cars anyhow. Thanks for a nice stay

John and his family were great hosts. The motel was occupied by several snowmobilers during our stay. He was very helpful in instructing everyone where to park to minimize congestion, as well as being a resource for info (we were new to this area). He worked hard to make sure a number of us had what we needed and were comfortable. The room was clean and well-kept. I would recommend wearing slippers when it is cold out, but we were very comfortable with a good bed and pillows, spacious bathroom, mini-fridge, microwave and fresh coffee in the office each morning. The owner seems to be a man of integrity. Our family will be returning to Colton Point Motel in the future.

We love this place and have stayed several times. Clean, quiet, comfortable and so friendly! Very good, reasonably priced breakfasts are available, too. The owner helped us to find and make dinner reservations - and in general, made our trip more satisfying.

We could not have asked for a better location. This motel is right on the main highway and just minutes away from ALL the hiking, biking and kayaking areas, as well as the town of Wellsboro. One day we woke up to rain, so we took a quick 45 minute drive up to the Corning Glass Museum in Corning NY. It's the largest glass museum in the world and really blew us away. And, again this motel was so close! The motel owners have done a wonderful job of providing a pretty back area complete with huge fishing pond, fire pit, and area for kids to play. They provide a home cooked breakfast for those who wish, and each room comes with a good sized mini fridge and microwave. There's good water pressure in the shower. The owners have also provided a contactless refreshing of linens/towels if needed. The only negatives are that the beds are saggy but worse are the thin flat slabs of rubber encased in slippery pillow cases that are intended to pass for pillows. They're horrible. Truly ....the worst pillows, ...ever. Bring your own pillows!!

We really enjoyed our 2-night stay at Colton Point Motel during peak Fall foliage season which makes it hard to find a cabin or room anywhere in the area! It’s in a perfect location for short drives to Colton Point & Leonard Harrison State Parks, as well as the Pine Creek rail trail (and not far from downtown Wellsboro)! We were able to do all of these in a single day! The owners are so, so friendly and do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay! They conveniently make a great homemade breakfast on-site for a very reasonable price! The property has a beautiful pond to enjoy, plus more! The rooms are nice & include all you’ll need, especially for the price. Unless you require something super fancy (which doesn’t seem necessary for a remote hiking trip), then you can’t go wrong here! Keep in mind there is NO cell service, but they do offer free wifi (which works fine in the lobby/breakfast spot, but didn’t reach to our room 12 in the back facing the pond (not sure about other rooms). Enjoy!

Economical two night stay at the end of summer. Great location for hiking West Rim Trail or biking the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Beds comfy, excellent breakfasts (extra charge). This is a place to retreat to if you want to avoid cell phones and internet; they do have wifi but it wasn't configured to work in my room #1. The property is very restful with pond, picnic tables, even a paddle boat on the pond. Very friendly owner/operators. I will be back next year. My new favorite lodging in a favorite part of Pennsylvania.

This is a very simple, clean, motel. What makes it special is the property and the people. It is easy to find, but hard to appreciate from the road. The grounds had different areas.. A fire pit, a table with a fireplace in it.. I'm sure there's a proper name for it, but I don't know what it is.. LOL Paddle boats, a little beach, different picnic tables and catch and release fishing. There is usually breakfast served, but due to covid, that was cancelled. Here's the thing,, they called us to let us know that it wouldn't be available. How's that for courtesy and consideration?... There was also no housekeeping because of covid, but they places baskets outside the rooms and replenished our towels as we needed. Top notch service and we would go back again

We spend one night at the Colton Point Motel in early October. We were on our way to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, which was just several miles down the road. Our room was clean and cozy. The rates were very affordable. The owners (and their dog, Cinnamon) were very friendly. We had a great hot breakfast (not included in the room fee) in a cute little restaurant right on site. The only small downside was that the motel is located close enough to Rt. 6 that you can occasionally hear a truck go by. But we travel with a fan, which blocked out all outside noise. Otherwise, the room was very quiet. We would stay there again.

My wife & I recently enjoyed 'Tubing & Bicycling & Hiking' in and around the Pa Grand Canyon PIne Creek. We stayed one nite at Colton Point motel. We will be back. The location and Price is right. It is not 5 star luxury, but it was just what we needed and was right where we needed it to be. Nancy & Ron, the owners are very nice folks. Nancy makes a great impression on the phone and was a informative and helpful host in person as well. She remembered my name from the phone call, & what activities we were doing during our stay. Yes, the rooms could stand some updating... the linens, the bedding & furniture have a few years on them. The A/C unit worked fine, yet it just a bit of an odor, which wasn't a big deal. The rooms WERE CLEAN. We enjoyed a reasonably priced and delicious breakfast at the motel, where Amanda was a pleasant & attentive waitress. The Coffee was especially good for some reason.. it must've been because of all the wonderful fresh air. We didn't enjoy the pond or firepit, behing the motel , but it looked inviting. We do recommend this motel... & hopefully we will be back, on our next outing to the Pa Grand Canyon. Thank you Nancy & Ron

These 2 sweet beautiful people saved the weekend for us. We had reserved a cabin for the weekend just to be told our family was to big ( even though we said how many when we had in our family) so we had to find something fast and cheap. So it was a happy accident that we got to stay here. The price of the room was excellent and friendliness is unbelievable and oh my the things they offer with the room is out of this world. My grandchildren went swimming, paddle boating, campfire-s'mores, playground, walk around the pond it was just amazing! All of those things were at no extra charge, even free fire wood for the camp fire, who does that anymore. These 2 people are definitely gods angels😇 Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for turning a bad start of the weeekend into a wonderful heaven weeeknd for our familyâ¤ï¸ Sincerely Denise Ginter
