NO BUSINESS LICENSE
I had placed an order for a container to be placed on the street in Pennsylvania 9/26-9/29/25. I called to get my permits in order for my city to tell me no. Why because pods let there business license lapse. My city has tried on multiple occasions to get in contact with them with no luck. This very large company currently has no business license. I canceled my order and will go with a different company.

Not sure that young children should be seen running around in this warehouse space. Seems to be a huge liability issue.

Can I give zero stars? I was quoted a drop off date when I first booked with PODS. This was necessary for me to have time to unpack before starting a new job. Once they had picked up my container (Day 0), they informed me it wouldn't be delivered for over one month (Day 44). When I reached out to point out I had been assured of delivery by Day 8 when booking, they said they would request an earlier date but if the service coordinator did not approve it, there wasn't anything they could do. They informed me I wouldn't be charged for the extra month of storage which would have been amusing if they hadn't had all of my belongings locked in a box somewhere.
I wound up calling several more times, each time requesting to speak to a supervisor and waiting on hold for 10-20 minutes while they reviewed my case. They told me they were unable to change the delivery date to the original but had moved it up to Day 16. They said that the delivery was in the hands of the service coordinator at the local facility. When I asked to speak to him, they said the number wasn't public. Since it was a Sunday, I asked the PODS supervisor to call in the morning and was told I'd have to call back in the morning and wait on hold again, to request the AM supervisor make the call.
When the pod delivery was finally confirmed, after many calls, they had moved it back to Day 10, but then on the day of delivery, emailed 2 hours into the 4 hour delivery window to reschedule for day 12. The POD arrived in one piece but with dents in the front door that made opening it difficult and re-locking the latch impossible. Pickup was scheduled for a week later, and again delayed by a day. There was damage to the lawn in the house I moved out of, and the house I moved in to - just something to keep in mind if you are renting like me and depending on your landlord refunding your security deposit.
Overall, hire movers and a truck. A company that waits until all of your belongings are locked in its 8-by-16 foot steel box to tell you they won't be delivered for several weeks is not worth the hassle.

David, our driver, was courteous, friendly, very professional!
He is truly an expert at what he does!
With very limited space to place the containers, he placed them perfectly avoiding trees, the front porch, the grass and still leaving enough room to walk around them!
Grateful for his help and meeting our needs!

These drivers have skills...boy do they know their stuff and were all very pleasant. I had Brian in pouring rain and the last one in 100 degree weather...all very pleasant...thank you!

Absolutely horrible service. Ordered a pod over 2 months ago. The day before delivery got a phone call that it will be delayed a day. I said ok. I actually ordered it 2 days earlier just in case this happened. The next day I get the same phone call that it will be delayed. I told them I can't get delayed again because I need to have the POD asap. They assured me it shouldn't be an issue. Guess what... The next day I get the call again. I told them I can not wait another day. I expected the pod 2 days ago and now I have to wait another day and not even sure I will get it. The worst part you can never get in touch with someone. No one can give you an actual answer. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

The PODS service has been great! From organizing it to the drop off, pick up and move to my second location. The driver and delivery Rep, Mark, was friendly, professional and super helpful. He’s a great representative for the company. I have the final pick up Scheduled in a couple of weeks. The whole POD concept in a good one. It allows you time to Thoughtfully pack, move to the next location and thoughtfully unpacked without having to get it done in one or two days with as you would with a moving truck I can highly recommend PODS.
