The young brunette with glasses probably shouldn’t be working retail/customer service if she can’t handle a basic return without expressing that she’s physically frustrated and flustered. Then I overheard her and a coworker laughing making remarks about me, and got an attitude when I tried to ensure my coupon was applied. Just a mom trying to save on diapers where I can because they’re expensive to feel like I’m a bother for someone doing their job??

The store sucked and my card was skimmed here a week or two ago. Either the clerk wasn't paying attention at all to the register or maybe they put it there themselves, idk.

Why is this store so dirty so disorganized they’re shit all over the floors. I mean they need to close it down and clean the place up. I mean it is bad. I don’t know where the manager is or who’s in charge but they’re not managing. It is the dirtiest store I’ve ever been to.

I haven’t been the store manager there in over a year! So to the last post thanks for the good laugh, because I know the corporate office laughed when you called in and used my name! I miss the coworkers and usual customers! I do not miss the way employees are treated. That is why I moved on and bettered myself with a company that puts employees and its customers as its first priority!! Thanks for a laugh though but please do not slander my name!

If I could give ZERO stars I would.This location is terrible. The manager (Sharon) is an absolutely horrible person. She yells at customers, doesn’t follow procedures or policies.The employees have worn pajamas to work in and most of the female cashiers are incredibly rude and ignorant, going so far as to refuse help with the “self checkout” when asked a question.The store is always chaotic, dirty looking and disorganized. The coolers and registers are always broken and management will lock doors in the evening to deter customers from coming in (during working hours).I’m calling corporate office to report an incident with the manager Sharon and one of her employees- the employee tried to assault my husband in the parking lot- needing her manager to grab her by the t-shirt and yank her back.Horrible store. Horrible people.

The West Newton Dollar General is filthy inside and out. NOT ALL, but most employees are rude, disrespectful and miserable. I’ve stood at the checkout several times, waiting for 5+ minutes with no employees in site. Employees regularly stand by the entrance outside smoking cigarettes, so the entire store stinks. There is hardly any inventory on the shelves- stacks of boxes everywhere making it hard to maneuver. The inventory that is out is thrown around and unorganized- gives you the Goodwill Bins vibe. There was only 1 employee who was outstanding and an excellent example for the others, but he moved on to the GE 1 mile away. If you’re just stopping by for a Redbull, they are fully stocked only because a rep from the Redbull company comes and takes care of that. There is another Dollar General 5 miles down the road.

Out of stock, looks like a bomb went off, hard find what they do have. 15 people in line and only one cashier while 5 other people are on duty. Can never get cash back. Handwritten signs all over the place. Dirty as hell. The clientele it attracts is repulsive. Hours are good though.

This place is literally the worst Dollar general on the planet. Have to shelves are usually empty and the stock that should be on the shelves is in the middle of the aisle with nobody around it unstocking it, The parking lot is huge but yet nobody knows how to park It's just super ghetto. To be honest it needs new management or it just needs to be torn down and something else go there. Literally save yourself the hassle and go 5 minutes up the road to the Belle Vernon one!

Employees work their tails off. Seems like alot of times there just isnt enough help in the store. I feel bad for the employees. They try n do their best. Please close early enough so employees can be home for Christmas Eve night enjoying their time with family as you in upper positions are enjoying time with your family.
