Great service and selection of skate products, but they aren't true to their opening and closing times a lot. I even once came in the middle of the day and it was closed.

This place is the best. They’ve got the widest selection of skate products I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to a lot of shops. Tons of decks from companies big and small. All the shoes you want. Really nice clothing selection, along with hard goods like wheels, trucks, and bearings. In my experience there is always a good independent skate video on while you shop. But besides the products, this place is a community center for skateboarding. You won’t find locals meeting up in a corporate mall store. At Holistic, skaters come here to meet up and explore the city, to eat food together, to spend time together and keep their boards going. I’ve seen kids come in off the street and a skateboard has literally changed their life. Skateboarding gives people a sense of meaning and a reason to stay away from the negativity that can overtake life. The owner JD is 100% committed not only to skateboarding but also to the Reading community. He makes sure all are welcome no matter who you are. This place is top notch and you have to check it out. Even if you don’t skate you can find a great outfit here. And if you haven’t been to Reading before, JD or whoever is working the shop will give you suggestions on local food and things to do. Don’t even live in PA but found holistic online looking for the Converse AS-1 Pros in my size. About an hour after I placed my order I got a text from the owner. He called an told me Converse often runs a half size big and made sure he shipped me the right shoe. 10/10 customer service, a huge selection, and shipped my order right after it was placed i’ll definitely be shopping here again.

Gnarly skateshop that has an awesome online shop as well! I placed an order for a set of wheels and shortly after realized they were the wrong shape, so I sent a cancel email. I got a call a couple minutes later from a very helpful employee that walked me through the other options in the same wheel size. Super cool interaction and always fun to talk skate stuff even if just for a minute. Because of his call I didnt end up having to cancel the order and was able to get what I was looking for. Support the crew!!

They had probably the last pair of my favorite discontinued pants in existence. I wanted to be extra sure they were the right thing as I've been sent the wrong ones from a different skateshop. I have never been to this shop in person. But I consistently order from them and everything is always perfect and they ship super fast. I actually just called them to ask how a pair of shoes run(sizewise) and they actually tried the shoes on so they could advise me. Best shop on the east coast, I hope to visit one day in person.
