I can’t recommend Heather and Funcy Decor enough! Not only is she an absolute delight to work with, she truly helps bring your vision and space to life. We started working with Heather shortly after moving into our home. The house was built in the early 2000s, so while it had great bones, it needed a glow up and a makeover to fit our style. I had some ideas of what I was envisioning, but find decorating very intimidating and exhausting. When there are so many different light fixtures, paint colors, decorations, contractors, etc. to pick from, I get decision paralysis. My husband and I also both work and have 2 young kids - so finding the time to research everything was really hard. So we hired Heather to update our office, lighting, main stairwell, living room (creating an accent wall and redoing the fireplace) and powder room - and it was the best decision we made! She made everything so easy - talked with us to understand our style and vision, created an easy to follow PowerPoint with a style board, options and links to purchase. And if we wanted to go another direction on some recommendations, she was accommodating and shared alternate options. I also loved that Heather was able to use many of our own pieces to decorate the final look and then mix in new items from different stores (mixing up high end items and items from target/home goods), really taking budget into consideration while not compromising the end result.
Also - the Funcy Decor store in Wexford is so cute and has so many great decor and household items! Highly recommend stopping by and checking that out too!
If you are looking to renovate, update, or simply decorate, you should definitely consider working with Heather. She will make your life easy and make your space look amazing. I can’t wait to tackle more rooms with her now that we are done with the original projects!

Heather is a decor expert with a great eye, but is also fun, funny, and a pleasure to work with. Over two years and five rooms, she has worked at our speed and made the process easy and affordable. Best of all, our house looks great!

Heather from Funcy Decor is AMAZING!! She has this wonderful ability to transform a space to something both magazine worthy as well as livable. In addition to that, Heather incorporates things you enjoy into the design, so not only does it look fabulous, is functional, but it is also a space you love living in! She really listens to what you like and includes elements of that in the design. For example, Heather knew I loved dishes I got from my gram - so her design kept those centerstage without being overpowering and the end result was just perfect. Heather's design expertise created a space that looks elegant and classic, and also a space that when I go in, I think of my gram and it just makes me happy. Funcy Decor turned my living room from just so-so to a space that I am so proud to show off! Heather really listened to what I was thinking and took it to the next level with just a few new items. I feel that she really considered my ideas and took them to a level I couldn't imagine I'd ever get too (and I couldn't without her talent). Funcy Decor is someone you'll love working with and love the results! The whole experience was a delight - I'm so thankful I found her and would recommend Funcy Decor to anyone and everyone!

Everything turned out great...even better than expected!! Heather found great furniture, lighting, and other decor. Everything works so well together. It is modern but still cozy. I will definitely use her services again when we are ready to re-do our upstairs.

I wanted to update two bedrooms and a connecting bath. From the initial meeting to the final day of decorating, Heather was fantastic! She was hands-on throughout (much appreciated) and is beyond talented. She has a remarkable eye for color and I appreciate that she used my existing artwork as the focus for designing the rooms. She was easy to work with and created an amazing transformation down to the littlest of details! The rooms are beautiful, warm and welcoming! She's exceptional and I can’t wait for our next project!

Heather was wonderful to work with - very professional, yet warm and friendly! She provided numerous ideas and suggestions to match the contemporary look I was going for. One tip she had that saved us the cost of a new dining room set was to update my Pennsylvania House china cabinet, buffet, and server with modern nickel pulls and hinges, and to wallpaper the back of the china cabinet to bring in the accent colors I needed. Heather shopped at stores that fit my budget, both brick-and-mortar and online, and texted many pictures and ideas for my approval. We also met at stores to choose items. Having Heather's guidance saved me time, money ( I didn't make costly mistakes with color and style), uncertainty, and stress. I highly recommend Heather Semke, of Funcy Decor!

Working with Heather was an all-around wonderful experience. With a quick virtual consultation she identified the style we were looking for and provided us with a few alternative mood boards to fill our new space within our budget. Not only did she simplify the overwhelming process of curating a cohesive look across a few rooms of our space, but she provided all the information we needed to easily order all of the furniture and decorative items we needed. In a few weeks we went from a nearly blank slate to a place that feels like home! Once our space was nearly complete, Heather also helped us quickly fill in a few small gaps that were outside our original scope. From my experience, I can recommend working with Funcy Decor for any size project, and while we targeted a style somewhere between modern industrial and contemporary, it was apparent that Heather's breadth of knowledge and taste would lend itself to any project. I had such a wonderful time working with Heather on our family room renovation. Taking our family room from dark and outdated to bright and beautiful. The whole process was extremely easy And super helpful to someone Like myself who is clueless to design. Heather Knew the design we were going for and presented me with options In style and pricing. No detail was missed. The family room. Turned out so well we decided to refresh several other areas In our home, including the entryway and dining room. I would highly recommend Heather. She listened to me to understand my design and color preferences and she did a great job of staying within my budget. These are two of the most important aspects of a decorating service, in my opinion. Heather also did a wonderful job of utilizing art/decor that I already owned to mix in with the new pieces. She can work quickly to make a room look like it is ready to be photographed for a magazine, however, it is still functional as well! I love my house because of the recommendations and assistance from Heather!

Heather was so great to work with! She quickly picked up on my style and went to work preparing THREE different mood boards for me for each area she was working on. I'm a visual person so it was great to see what she was suggesting and how it would look all together in the rooms. My sitting room is exactly how I envisioned it would be and my powder room looks so polished! Heather provided quick turn arounds at a very affordable price. I would highly recommend using her if you're looking for an updated style in your home. I can't wait to use her again for other rooms!
