The worst place on this planet do not waste your time or money!!! The workers are the worst they’re rude cancelled my appt for being 15 mins late a working single mother who flew with her child to try to make this appt not to mention my daughter is out of contacts and struggling I’m disgusted by the way I’ve been treated here time and time again and ofc they blame it on the doctors not wanting to see my child when in fact i know they don’t want to take any other people DO NOT GO HERE !!!!

I wish I could leave zero stars. Customer service is very poor. Was eleven minutes late for our appointment and was told we would have to reschedule. I understand being on time for an appointment but not having flexibility to service a long time customer is poor. The staff at the front is not friendly or warm in any way, just robotic. The receptionist seemed to get joy out of telling people that they had to reschedule, being that she was also telling someone else at the counter that they were late for a reevaluation, but the other lady at the counter told her to just allow them to come in because they were already there. Long story short, I'm sure you can find a better eye doctor in the area.

Friendly, helpful staff, very swift service at the Whitehall, Pa branch. Not a vast array of frames, which to me was great, as there were quite enough to choose from without being overwhelmed- something for everyone. With my insurance, I got 2 pairs of glasses each with anti-glare, 2 more in-depth tests to check back of eyes for less than $160.00!! Without insurance it still would have been less than $400, for 2 pairs!!! I did choose frames from the $79 range as I didn't need to look for more expensive frames, I found ones I was really happy with. Will go back again. Thank you for making it a stress free visit.?

Started out ok until, stopped in to get new glasses, my new puppy got a hold of my glasses and used as a chew toy. Didn't care about the cost, just wanted a new pair. The worker i was dealing with was very nice and professional, then someone else took over, they seemed to have trouble with a worker who was a no-show and were freaking out some, seemed like she was the Manger and she was very combative and demanded that i get a new eye exam or she's not giving me new glasses. I just had exam 2yr prior and i didn't want to get one, but she started to be very rude and actually asked me to leave if i won't get a eye exam, unreal, I've been a loyal customer as well as my family members for many years, is hard to believe that i was treated so disrespectful. So i ended up leaving while telling her she needs to get some help as in she's crazy and needs to treat customers with respect. I'm a proud veteran and served my country, what has she ever done?

Came in with my family to have eye exams and we all agree that the doctors was great… the staff not so much. I was told after our exam that they could not find our insurance so we would have to pay full price for everything which was pretty annoying but it happens. We paid for the exam but then after that we’re told we had to buy glasses now in order to be sure the prescription is correct because if we tried to get glasses anywhere else and the prescription was wrong they wouldn’t fix it. We have worn glasses for many years, and that is not a thing. Bottom line- the lady refused to give us a copy of our prescriptions even after we paid for them and made it clear we wouldn’t be purchasing glasses that day. So now we are confused and frustrated but I still wanted to see. So I ended up going to Walmart a few weeks later to get glasses. I was told that they were both affiliated with one another so I figured I could get my exam done again there hopefully since they didn’t give me a prescription the first time. Once I got there I was told that I definitely didn’t need another exam but if I wanted to my insurance would cover most of it. So the girl at Walmart let me use their phone to call Americas best to fax over the prescription. I ended up speaking with the same rude woman from the day of the exam (her name is Laura, Laurie, or something similar). Well, she tells me she cannot legally fax it to Walmart because she “doesn’t know if it’s really me over there”. What? Like I’m a glasses scammer? Do those exist? The helpful associate from Walmart took over and clarified that she saw my ID and insurance information and that I am Me and that they have always faxed each other customer prescriptions all the time, then she tells the associate to give the phone back to me and Laura tells me that “she obviously is either lying to make a sale or she is inexperienced” and that Walmart need to send them a release form first and the doctor has to fill it out which she said would take a week to get faxed back. At this point I am fuming. I tell her not to worry because I’ll just come pick them up so she huffed and hung up on us. As soon as I got there she was standing by the door so I go to another associate to help me but she yells “hello??! I have it here!” And just hands all of our prescriptions to me quickly and rudely like she didn’t want me to go inside or speak to any other worker. Very shady and manipulative behavior. She basically acted as if my family and I were not welcome there so we will never go there again. The Walmart worker whom I will not mention her name was helpful and honest and had my insurance and prices ready by the time I got back. Even after I told her what the lady said about her and the entire situation, she never responded with a negative word about Laur or Americas best and simply called it a “misunderstanding” and APOLOGIZED to me for what they put us through. And she even got me a cleaning set as gift for the all trouble I was put through just to order glasses. That is what good customer service and class look like. TAKE NOTES, AMERICAS WORST.

I visited the MacArthur Whitehall branch despite not having had enough sleep due to work, as I had scheduled the appointment weeks in advance and eagerly awaited that time. I found it unprofessional when the receptionist, who appeared to have Tourette's syndrome, explained the details of my insurance in front of a large number of people. It would have been more appropriate if she had discussed it with me privately at her desk, using a softer voice and lower volume. It would have been beneficial if they had checked my insurance coverage before I scheduled the appointment, allowing me to be aware of any potential limitations. I have insurance with Highmark and Eye Med, and the receptionist simply informed me that the system was down without providing further assistance. This experience was a waste of time, gas, and effort, and I strongly urge you to improve your service in the future. I am genuinely disappointed with the service provided.

We’ve had to come back a few times for adjustments and I have to say I’m very impressed with their customer service. They are all so nice and helpful! Truly makes a huge difference when you have a 6 year old who is not thrilled with having to wear glasses to begin with. Thank you for being so awesome. We will never go anywhere else?

Starting off with my daughters appointment time was 5:10. They didn't bring her back until 5:45. If I had been running late, I would call and notify them, as a common courtesy. Why does no one mention a delay in appointment time? Is that not a common courtesy anymore? Or just a heads up because I had my 7 year old who had limited patience and when asked how much longer it would be, they didn't even have my daughters chart?? It seems as though their "borrowed" staff are a undertrained. And it might help if the optometrist was experienced with children and make their visit a little less awkward. Like the other reviews stated - only go if you NEED to go. It's cheap and local but has needed a change for years upon years.

Excellent service entire time I was there! Ease of check-in. Even though it was a busy day, not even a hint from anyone. Doctor immediately made me feel relaxed. Not one strange look when I said it was over 18 years since last exam. All questions were answered directly. Did not feel pressured into purchasing something I didn't want. Glad I made the appointment. Will stay with America's Best in the future.

Had gotten a nice pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses 2 years ago. Got 2 of the same pairs since then and they ended up being to big. The first time I got them they were able to make them fit. The last 2 times the same two lazy hags made a plethora of excuses on why they didn't and couldn't fix them when they did the first time. Definitely going to lenscrafters for my next pair!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE- I will never go there again - Marie/Maria needs customer service training - RUDE RUDE - She made it seem as if I was inconveniencing her by asking questions - she claimed the insurance site was down and couldn’t find my information- she was like ohhh well you can pay out of pocket or reschedule - I asked her if she could call to get the info she refused to - I called and in 5 minutes my insurance faxed over the coverage info - she took the papers and shoved them in my hand and said YOU’RE WELCOME!! - then after my eye exam she told me I have to pay for my eye exam since I refused to get glasses there. So I paid but I called my insurance again they said that was false information - even my insurance agent stated she was RUDE also - they had to refund my money - if you don’t like your job find another one

These women working here are the nastiest bunch of bitter hags. They are completely miserable and hate their jobs. They will make it seem like you are inconveniencing them to be there paying your hard earned money for your exam and glasses.
