I was talked into a quick express cut which was priced at $25 on the pricing brochure which was not a problem since I only required a trim, when I was seated at the stylist station we went over the trim I wanted, I was keeping the style I had it just required trimming , during the consultation she never explained or informed me of the different stylist levels and the difference in what each level of stylist could charge.So for a quick dry, no shampoo, no conditioner, no blowdry , no style trim I was beyond surprised when I was told at the register that I was being charged $40 instead of the expected $25 because the stylist was a "master level cutter" and her rates were different.She should have made sure I understood that before the service.....I will not be going back.Service: Haircut

I really liked my experience at this salon in JC penny. I never knew it even existed. It was my very 1st time in there the place was very clean, people were very nice to help. Kayla was my hairstylist 1st time meeting her.she is a very young lady. I was very Pleased with her Service. I went and cut my own hair chopped it up a bit andSHE FIXED IT ! Thank God she knew exactly what to do. She asked the right questions and Got it done right. I’m very pleased with my service I received from Kayla the stylist who did my hair. I believe I found my new hairstylist right there in JC Penny. Who knew they even had a salon in there. I sure DIDNT. We are fairly new to the area. I thought I was going to have a hard time finding my new hair stylist cause I’m very picky with my hair. But NOPE found her already. I sure am glad I went into JC penny that day. I also found out I need a purple shampoo she hooked me up with matrix purple shampoo. I CANT wait to try it today.I will keep ya’ll posted on my results.Thank you KaylaService: Haircut

They rushed the hair cut. Cut the hair in a way that I never saw anyone do before. She didnt even check to see if its even. I didnt ask for layers but somehow got them. Also she didnt even cut straight. Looked jagged and so many different lengths. Save yourself the trouble and go to the other hair salon in the mall. Its cheaper there and I have always gotten a fabtastic cut from those ladies. Its also cleaner there as well.

If I could give the store a zero star I would. The man that was doing my hair was constantly complaining about how long my hair was. He tried to dye my whole head when I only asked for the tips to be dyed. His friend came in talked to him, and he was constantly telling his friend how I wouldn't cut my hair and how I wasn't listening to his instructions and how he wishes to not finish my hair.

I tend to go to walk-in salons on impulse and usually leave dissatisfied, but today I decided to stop in to JCPenney and Dale was my stylist. Dale knows his stuff. I’m very happy with my cut and enjoyed the conversation too.

Wonderful experience! Diana made last minute appointments for my daughter and myself for back to school hair cuts! Not only did she manage to fit us both in when I called the day we needed cuts, there was a sale on kids hair cuts so it was affordable too! Very happy with both of our hair cuts.

Went today w my daughter. Both of our hair was super long. They took us as a walk in. We didn't have to wait very long. Both stylists we're very friendly and did a great job w our hair! Definitely will go there again!Services: Hairstyling

I had asked for a Carmel hair color. She didn't do the hair color I had asked she did my natural hair color. Was not impressed with it. I will not go back to that person. I think she never listened to what color I said. I don't know what she was thinking when she was doing this.Services: Haircut

Brought my daughter (11yr) as a walk in. Dale was beyond great. He gave her the exact haircut she wanted (she’s super picky and very staunch on what she likes) We left the salon with her having a giant “pep in her step”. He was very good with her as she can be shy at times. Will definitely be back and will request him each and every time! Honestly, we couldn’t be happier!!Services: Haircut

I just made appointment here the other day and the gentleman who answered the phone told me to come in for an appointment within the hour. That made me nervous, but I was happy because it was an impulsive hair color. I’m so happy I did!! Diana was my stylist and I got a half head of highlights, and she did so good. I have horror stories from mall salons/ultas but she proved me wrong. I’m so happy with my hair. ? she was very personable as well.

I went here for over a decade. A stylist here named Melanie A. had ruined my hair, had no patience and was just mean. I felt like she was purposeful in her contempt. JCP forwarded my complaint to branch manager who did not respond. Later I found out a friend had also had her hair ruined just less than a year prior to mine by the same stylist.
