About The Salvation Army Thrift Store Wilkes-Barre, PA
The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Wilkes-Barre is a spacious store with a lot of parking. The staff is described as nice, professional, and respectful. The store is very organized and has new stuff every day. It is located in a great area. The store has a lot of clothes, which is about 80% of the inventory, and the prices are all good, even dirt cheap. However, the selection beyond clothing is limited. The bric-a-brac, media, and electronic sections are scarce. The furniture and home good items are often in general disrepair, broken, or beyond filthy, with quality varying wildly. A few outliers, like some rocking chairs, seem decent. Prices in these sections can vary wildly and feel a bit much compared to other thrift stores. Proceeds from sales fund the Adult Rehabilitation Centers, helping those struggling with drugs and alcohol. The main drawback noted is that the dressing rooms are not open. Overall, if you come for the clothing you are in luck, but come for anything else and the selection is poor.

Although prices are going up on some items, I love this store for the variety of items they have. The workers are friendly and helpful too. Highly recommend stopping in for vintage treasures.
