The Lunch Bar is a small, cash-only diner with a small town feel, located near Wilkes-Barre and right next to an auto shop. It offers a quick sit-down lunch with a time capsule atmosphere that feels unchanged for decades. The food is excellent, delicious, and absolutely delicious home cooking, featuring items like a crisp chicken parm sandwich on a fresh roll, homemade ziti with meatballs, and Italian Stracciatella soup described as outrageously good. Fries are made like home cooking and portions are generous for very reasonable and amazing prices. The owner, waitress, cook, and all staff are extremely helpful, super nice, welcoming, happy, and friendly. Service is excellent. The diner is open until 2 on weekdays and is wheelchair accessible. Orders are neatly packed and marked for pickup, which can be done online. While it may be a little hard to spot and mainly serves a local clientele, it is highly recommended as an excellent substitute for a drive-thru off I-81, providing a memorable mom and pop experience with the best food.

What a fantastic experience! The place is super cute and spotless!!! I ordered the meatballs and the egg and pepper sandwich. The girl that waited on me was kind, & very informative! They offer an outstanding Vintage vibe and delicious homemade food. To make things even better the prices are reasonable!
