“We love Dogventure (Cool Dog Gear)! I used to only wander in once in a blue moon, but while dining out with a new puppy, I received some news about "Puppy Social" sessions that could be a good fit for my not-very-socialized and rather vocal Pomeranian. I kid you not, we now frequent Dogventure on a weekly basis (or as often as possible) - and not just for the use of the doggie gym although that's the best part.This is a fantastic small business with a variety of toys, treats, food options, and healthcare (joint, skin, dental, etc). The owners are wonderful and the staff they employ are equally caring and knowledgeable. There are not words to express how happy and grateful I am to have discovered (and have access to) this wonderful business and all they have to offer.”
“If you have a dog, you need to get yourself here! I am so in love with this sweet shop and will be stopping by every time I am in Manayunk, which is usually with my pooch since it's on our way back from hikes at the Wissahickon. This bakery has a play area which I didn't even realize until I went to write this review, and they also have the cutest cookies, treats, accessories, and goodies for your dog. The staff here was the absolute sweetest and the vibes are just very good. My dog was so happy to be there and thoroughly enjoyed her St. Paddy's Day "lucky" cookie later that day. They were having a dog party later in the day, replete with doggie beer (LOL) treats, and playtime. I am so happy to know this business exists and will absolutely be getting my dog's birthday cakes and treats from here moving forward. An excellent addition to the already very dog-friendly Manayunk. Feel free to replicate my new dream Saturday: long hike at the Wiss, brunch on a patio, and a stop by this awesome shop. Tell your dog I say hi!”

“My father got a rescue dog a few years ago, and he's mostly cocker spaniel, so he has cauliflower ears and gets very matted. The people there were very good to him even when he was getting agitated and said it would be safer to let his vet finish. I respect that because my dad used to have a visiting groomer...and last time she groomed him, she had cut him in 3 different places. Winston (the dog) won't even let me brush his legs. He only lets me use the grooming glove to remove excess hair. And my dad and I do our best with his face and ears, but we're amateurs! This is a safe place to take your pet in my opinion ?”
“Thanks to everyone's reviews we went here for diy dog wash. It was easy to book, affordable and I really liked the setup -adjustable temp water and no heat dryer. We have a XL dog that can easily overheat and has sensitive skin so I was so happy to see they carried fragrance free products/usually we have to bring our own. The store is jam packed with unique products and brands that are not at big box stores. Overall we had a great experience and are definitely going to come back ✨?”

“Came in today seeking much needed help because my one cat stopped using the litterbox due to stress from my recent move. 2 wonderful individuals helped me locate several products to encourage my stubborn feline to start using the litter box again. Immediately after getting home and setting everything up the mission was extremely successful! The team members in this facility are extremely educated and helpful and I am very thankful and grateful for the information they shared with me! My cat is back to using the litter box and seems much more calm and comfortable! I absolutely love this pet store and the workers and they’ve definitely made me a life long customer!!!”

“Hometown pet store with plenty of pet goodies. From foods to baths to beds and carriers. I stopped by just to see the variety. They do have small pet foods for Chinchilla's, hamsters and guinea pigs, as well as a variety of fish for your aquarium and aquarium decorations. Friendly staff as well.”

“I love this Petco Store! They have the best selection of items and priced very reasonable. I have purchased a lot of fish items including 10 gallon fish tank complete with everything you need. I have purchased filter assembly and filters for my outside fish quartet, Aqueoun products mostly, because they stand behind their products. I buy and have bought most of my fish from this store as well. Their employees are professional, exceptionally well trained as far knowledgeable, sincere and always a pleasure to do their best to take care of you on your shopping visit. I can not imagine a more sincere and dedicated group of individuals then these sales associates. Today on my visit to the store, Sunday October 27, a very sweet and genuine young lady took very good care of me and her name was Ryn, she has waited on me in the past and is outstanding. “Place was AWESOME!!! Staff was super friendly, knowledgeable n jus all around good people! Store was neat, clean n well stocked n kept.. All the animals there were all very well taken care of cages/ tanks/ terrariums all clean ,fresh water n food... definitely would recommend this place to anyone... OHHH also they had the biggest monitors n fresh water flowerhorn cichlids i think I've ever seen!!! Keep up the great work guys!!”

“We had a wonderful first grooming of our rescue dog. I am so glad I found a groomer that does not crate with caring and loving staff. My dog was a little shaky when we went in, since he's a bit shy at new places/ with new people. When I went to pick him up , he was as happy as can be and looked so handsome! He is a very happy boy! “Was really shocked at how big this petco was. I usually go to the other one on Street rd and knights, as its closer to me, but definitely gonna travel a bit further for this one. Bigger selection, clean, and employees are nice. They have a bigger selection of fish and they even have salt water fish at this location! They also had birds, small animals like hamsters, snakes, geckos and cats and ferrets. Definitely recommend coming here.”
“We always take our doodle here- We love being able to see all the dogs being groomed/the open concept here! Makes us feel so safe leaving our pup there. She always comes home so happy! It’s clear they treat these animals with such care.
I have a very old dachshund with nails that couldn’t be trimmed at the vet anymore, since he’s so squirmish and loses patience quickly now. They accepted a quick walk-in, let me hold him, and were so patient with my little boy! He walked out feeling brand new. I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate these lovely humans that work here! (Beth Hatter, you were incredible! We’ll remember this wonderful experience because of you & your kindness!)”

“I adopted a dog at the beginning of the pandemic when things were pretty chaotic. The SPCA handled the transition about as well as anybody did during that time and we were able to schedule a visit to meet 2 potential dogs. Everything went smoothly and we took our new dog home that day (sadly, he just passed away after 4 wonderful years with us, as he was older when we adopted him).Edit: a few days ago I returned and had another wonderful experience with adopting again. I put in an application online and was called about a week later (I believe this is because the dog was on a stray hold, so I was called as soon as the hold expired). We had to wait to be able to take him home because he had to be neutered, but we were able to visit the dog a couple of times in between the time we adopted him and were able to take him home. Staff were pleasant and friendly every time.”
“Today was my first time visiting this Petco location. My grandson had saved up money and wanted to buy items for his new ferret. The first associate to help us was Will and I must say the service we were provided was beyond EXCEPTIONAL. It's nice to enter an establishment and be assisted without hesitancy and with kindness. “I am so thrilled that my neighbor recommended Lucky Dogz to me, when I adopted my rescue dog. Elizabeth and Paul are phenomenal dog people. They know what they are doing, and they do it well. Their staff is wonderful too -- my dog is safe and well looked after when I leave him here, and he is free within reasonable limits to explore and to socialize as much as he wants. This place is really excellent. The prices are reasonable, and I've even left him for overnight boarding, which is also well priced. I cannot believe our great fortune to have found lucky dogz!”

“Well stocked and organized. I wish there was 1 more employee in the aisles to help me find what I needed. The cashier who directed me where to go was great and personable. She even had a conversation with the family in front of me in line in fluent Russian or Ukranian. Very helpful in this area, she's an asset to this location.”

“Thank you to Jordyn C, their dog trainer, she was awesome! I bought our dog Puddin in for a private session to get suggestions on how to better introduce my dog with my daughter’s new dog. We had done an introduction previously before talking with Jordyn and it did not go well at all. Jordyn’s suggestions all worked and the dogs did so much better. Very thankful she took the time to even bring in her dog to better understand my dogs cues.I highly recommend Jordyn and her training expertise!”
