If you want good honest service and good people to deal with Shaffer oil is the best friendly and fast service . Been dealing with them for 8 years and will not deal with anyone else when it comes to buying fuel.

Very expensive nowadays. Their off road fuel (heating oil) is nearly the same price as Sheetz on road and the Sheetz price includes road tax. Shop around for heating oil and you can save yourself lots of money.

I have used Shaffer oil Co from Windber for the past few years that I've lived near Central City, Somerset County. Never had any complaints, they always went above and beyond to make sure I was warm? i ran out of oil 48 hours ago and I called there emergency number yesterday but no one ever got back to me. Had my somerset County assistant worker call in my crisis grant and when I called Shaffers to see when they were delivering it, the gentleman said earliest available delivery is tomorrow. I explained i was freezing and totally out of oil so he said if 8 paid the $75 after hour's charge they could deliver today. Well they delivered my fuel oil at 4:02 , charged me $75 after hour's fee and they don't close till 4:30 ??????WHAT????

I would give a 0 star if i could.Absolutely worse company to deal with!!! i only called cause my usual company had a longer delivery time which now I know why they do and this company doesn't . I ordered fuel on Wednesdays and it was scheduled to be delivered Friday. I received a calling saying even though my driveway was plowed it "LOOKED" icy so they won't deliver . My brother came over to salt and said they were crazy it wasn't even icy . I have children including a 3 month old and its the middle of winter now I had to call my usual company and get on their list again. Luckily I told them what happened and thry will get me in Monday.. if you need oil delivered use Davidsville fuel. They are great

Shawn at the somerset office is wonderful... been a customer for 3 years now... I just ran out of fuel and I am not able 2 pay until the 20th. Wasn't even a question. He will b here tomorrow... payment on the 20th. No where else would do that. Drivers r always great. Great local company with great people.

I get my oil there. Anytime that I Have Call them they have been able to come Out When I needed them to.
