“The there price for meats and other things just wish store was a lot bigger workers are very pleasant and friendly I was planning a party for my granddaughter and was talking about moon bounces and how hard it was to find one that time of year well one of the gentleman told me about Big Var and gave me the number and address where to go which was a couple of blocks away from the store and Big Var was available to New Castle Delaware and save the day for me with out a problem thanks Sam and Sam's for the help and great customer service”
“Thier produce looked fresh and clean. The pizzas are worth the money. Thier prices overall are great. The store is smaller than your average bigger name store but are packed with great prices and quality. I was pleasantly surprised at my total grocery bill and will be going back. For the kids you really see the savings on snacks. This was my first time shopping here it was worth the trip.”

“Neat, clean and organized. Well stocked most days. Nothing fancy and like any Aldi store. The cashiers are friendly and very fast to do check out. They recently installed self checkout but since I usually have a lot of items, never used them and might be convenient for some one with few items.”
“Aldi is wonderful. Lowest prices by far for fruit, produce, and all dairy products. Wide variety of organics available as well as many gourmet items. Definitely check it out it will be worth your time.”

“G&B have the best hoagies around they're always crowded for hoagies They also have the best prices on their fresh meats and the price is awesome, twelve wings in the market is eighteen dollars when I can get ten pounds for nineteen ninety nine and you get forty wings the same with wing dings you get over sixty for the same price. They have other meats that are cheaper than the big markets, if you haven't been there you should try getting your hoagies and meats from there you won't be disappointed.”

“Ann is a sweetheart I have been eating Ann's cooking since the 80s when she used to sell dollar hoagies on Greenway. I don't have to say anything about Ann knows what I want I don't know how she does it but she knows when I want a burger or wings and macaroni salad she's good like that. She's the only Chinese person to give me a gift during the holidays even if the food is free I appreciate that once a yr.”

“Wow! That's all I can say. Just met one of the nicest people at Giant supermarket. Oh by the way I bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers which she arranged for me. I didn't even know GIANT had a floral center. Did I mention I spent less then $30 for this BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET of flowers, which my wife LOVED!

“Nice little popi store with a good variety of stuff, as well as a kitchen in the back. Breakfast stuff is better than the other stuff. Groceries are expensive, but you know that going in at a store like this, but snacks are good prices. The EBT's are doing grocery shopping here, or if you need something in a pinch. Family owned, and they're very nice.”

A wide variety of goods for sale, many Caribean, and African ingrediants, staff willing to help with information when items are unfamiliar. There seem to be a gradual increase in variety, probably because they are just starting out.”

Just 1-2 mins. away public transportation stop. 31 and the 52 bus or the septa el all stop at 52nd & Market. Jump off public......... pickup food...........shop........ back on public......easy to do......”
“Great selection on African and Caribbean food. Everyone is nice, although, I do get bad looks from the Asian woman(could be the owner/manager) everytime i go here. Decent pricing, the fish/meat are fresh. The produce could use some work.I bought a spoiled Nigerian yam from there, so look at produce before buying.”
“Cheap prices and staff are all great! I have been a customer of Alex the owner since his other store opened in New Castle, DE. If they don't have it, Alex will get it for you! Fridays they close for prayer since they are Muslim but aside from that, 6am until 10 or 11pm you can always get what you need for a decent price!”
“I love the Giant store in Philadelphia, and since my husband and I were near this store, we decided to stop by. The assortment is as always very large. There are only 2 minuses. 1 - the cooked chicken is horribly overcooked, almost all the chicken is black in places, we don't want to eat coals instead of meat. 2 - this is a problem with self-checkouts, by the way, it’s the same at Giant in Philadelphia. If you are a couple of seconds late and did not have time to place the item on the left side of the cash register after scanning, the screen is blocked and you need to wait for “employee help.” And so several times for one purchase, this is complete nonsense. The employee is tired and is naturally not happy about being pulled like this.”
“It's always been my favorite shoprite in the city. I never have any problems at this location. I have a giants 1 block away from where i live and always choose to take a trip to this shoprite.”
