This review is specific to the Newtown PA CVS. I had to go there to fill a controlled substance that is very short supply at this time so rather than just showing up I called several pharmacies first to see who might have the inventory. I finally found it at Newtown CVS and was promptly informed by the pharmacist who I was speaking to on the phone that she will only fill it at her discretion, after she inspects the actual prescription that I presented to her and that if there was anything at all she didn't like or agree with in my medical history she would not be giving me the medicine that I had a valid prescription for. Needless to say I found her extremely arrogant, very impressed with herself and her all powerful position and she annoyed me so much that I continued to make calls to look for the medication elsewhere. I couldn't find it anywhere and had no choice but to go patronize a place that I didn't want anything to do with. I was very pleasantly surprised to get there and be fast tracked through the process because of the meds I needed and didn't run into the hag from my earlier phone call. The pharmacy was extremely efficient, well staffed which is never the case anymore and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and that's with at least 5 other people waiting for prescriptions too. I don't know who I had the unfortunate experience of speaking with on the phone when I called but she must have been at lunch or something when I got there. I'm so grateful I didn't have to encounter anyone like that because it would have been a fight until I got what I wanted or was removed from the store. They're pharmacist's not doctors. Just because they were a little white jacket that looks like a doctor doesn't give them the right to deny my valid prescription written by my doctor.

I love the way the building was designed to fit in with the colonial/ Revolutionary War appearance of the neighborhood. It is truly the most beautiful CVS I have ever seen. It should be a stop on anyone's visit to the area if for no other reason than the architecture.

Never happy with them. When call never easy to reach the pharmacist. Has been on hold for more than 15 min when call, but then end up hanging up. The pharmacy people are not friendly either.

Pharmacy never answers the phone. Customer service at this location is in need of substantial improvement.
