Very reasonable price, which I will say is probably the reason why people are attracted to this place. The “event specialist” is very unprofessional, not people oriented at all. I hosted an event here last year so I wanted to host another one but I just couldn’t stand her unprofessional behavior.She literally sounds like a robot as she explains everything about the pricing and when you ask her for clarity she responds with a nasty demeanor as if you’re not spending your money! You can tell she’s been there for a while & the owner accepts the behavior because the nastiness is not filtered in anyway. On top of that there was dust all on the light fixtures, the place could really use a deep cleaning from a professional cleaner.

I reached out to this place to book a wedding ceremony the customer service was very nice and efficient; however after reading a few reviews were the religious preferences of couples weren’t respected I decided to call back to ensure the facility honored same sex marriages. I was informed that they only had 1 reverend who would perform a same sex marriage and they charged an extra 100 dollars to do it. It’s very disheartening and unethical to charge a couple extra just for being a same sex couple, we took our business elsewhere but I would steer clear of this place if you don’t align with “traditional christian” values

I really wanted to give it a 1 but what I will say is the space is beautiful and the receptionist that I encountered on booking was very pleasant. On the other hand the day of the event that I booked from 4-4:30pm
The weather wasn’t so good it was raining. My guest weren’t allowed in until 4pm which meant they would be walking in with me(makes no sense)
I couldn’t bring my own officiant and was rest assured that the officiant there would accommodate my religious beliefs so I felt good about it. Before my event I spoke to the officiant on two occasions and she asked me my belief and I told her, she asked did we do our own vows I told her yes and she told me what she would do during the ceremony which would be to introduce us at husband and wife and say do you take this woman/or man. I was very pleased with what she said she would do, however once there she had a bible in her hand and she prayed over us(not needed and in my video you would be able to see me and my husband in total shock of what was taken place)
During the event the owner was helpful with fixing the bottom of my dress but also continuously reminding us of the time frame
I explained to her that the officiant tail up unnecessary time with all her talking. I am saddened because my video is completely ruined because of the things the last spoke about “whoever u believe in Muhammad, Ali the high power” is a snippet of what she discussed during the ceremony.
This place is beautiful but I wish they allowed people to bring their own officiant and that they allow guest to come in at least 10 mins to be seated before the other people get there. For the $300 I I am not pleased at the ceremony itself. If those things get corrected I think that this place will have much more satisfied customers

Please be cautious when booking this company for your special moment while the place is nice looking, they completely dropped the ball by not respecting the bride and groom’s religion. My family member had multiple conversations with the officiant she was well aware of my cousin’s faith of Islam and completely disregarded this during the ceremony even after multiple conversations were had on how the ceremony was to go prior to the ceremony. The officiant supplied by SS wedding Venue took it upon herself to unite my family’s marriage as if they were of Christian faith which was disrespectful when she was well aware of the couple’s faith prior to the ceremony. She even made a joke my using the comment of “Muhmmad Ali or whatever higher power you go by” Which I feel was unprofessional the Ceremony should have went exactly as planned and organized and the company refused to allow my family to bring their own officiant but instead provided one that doesn’t respect the differences in culture/religion and didn’t seem to care about the wants and needs and wishes of the Bride and Groom. My family now has what is supposed to be one of the most special moments on video for life of their ceremony as a constant reminder of the lack of professionalism that was provided by “SS wedding Ceremonies” On top of that they had the guess waiting outside in the rain. If you plan to book your wedding, I highly recommend that you reconsider. The Venue needs to reconsider the policy of allowing your consumers to be allowed to bring their own officiant to avoid this issue in the future!

I had a party here and I saw mice ran across the floor. This place is filthy. I asked the owner about the animal droplet and she didn’t do anything about it. This place is not to host events. The owner is not a business person. She is mean, nasty, and outrageously non professional. She only wants the customers money. She charged ridiculous prices. It is not worth it. She is such a scammer.

We have had two events here at Social Space. Both times were great. I can say if people speak bad about it, please set your own event with Harlem - Social Space and set your own experience. This weekend we had an event here and it was wonderful! The space is beautiful, clean, and there are very nice decorations! Their staff is wonderful as well! Chanel was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Norman was with us during our event and he was professional and helpful as well. This is a great space to hold any kind of event and would highly recommend Social Space to anyone!

This venue is very accommodating. I attended an event here over the weekend and didn't want for anything. They handled every question and concern. I wish I lived in the area so I could take advantage of this venue. Five star well deserved!
