York, PA's budget truck rental is the most unprofessional and mouthy business I've ever experienced. Jayvion or however it's spelled cussed us all the way out the door and wouldn't listen to the customer trying to explain the terrible trucks situation, says she's gonna just charge whatever she wants.... Blocked the doorway so we couldn't leave, she was wanting a physical altercation. Avoid budget truck rentals at all cost!

I drop the truck and auto transport one day early and the lady on the counter said I need to unhook the auto transport which is not my job to do and lady saying she will charge me for not unhook the auto transport hahah?? which is unfair and unprofessional behavior, never ever come back there

Beware!!!Celeste should not be working in customer service. On a Tuesday, doors were locked at 430. When she did let my husband in and gave him the total for the truck he questioned why the truck was $300 more than what we were quoted. She said we HAD to buy the insurance, then took a personal call. When my husband asked how much we would get back on the truck return she turned off the lights and said she already closed up and could not rent us a truck. We reserved the truck for a 5pm pick up time. My husband was there at 430. We ended up going to penseke which is at the Home Depot down the road, they were able to get us a truck asap and gave us a dolly to use for free. The total also was $300 less.Go up the road. Do not rent here.

Bad service horrible they gave me a confirmation number I reserved want to pick up the truck and my truck wasn’t there They rented it to someone after Driving half an hour to them to leave with nothing no truck like where is the truck ??

Rarely do I leave a response on these. But I can say I'll probably never call again. Worst customer service ever. The person that answered the phone definitely did not feel like talking, she was rude, very short with replies, and just horrible. They apparently have absolutely no trucks for rent until next year.

Would give less than 1 star if possible. I reserved a moving truck 5 weeks before my move, 15 minutes before I leave to pick it up I get a phone call that they don't a truck available and that the nearest truck is 70 miles away in Hagerstown, MD. No apology, no offer for a discount....nothing. Meanwhile, I have 4 friends waiting at my house, who took off work, to help me move! Luckily the folks at Market Motors down the street were able to rent me a UHaul with zero notice. Do yourself a favor and start there when you need a truck rental!

Reserved a 26' box truck on Budget rental site for pick-up at this site on a Monday afternoon for the following Wednesday. Received my confirmation, and on Wednesday morning headed over to this location (which is an Avis Car Rental place) to pick up the truck. I had a load of goods that needed to be picked up on that day, and it would take a 26' box truck to transport. I thought I had everything covered until I was informed by the employee at this location that they did not have my truck, nor any trucks available. When I asked about the Budget reservation & confirmation, he simply stated that they do not rent trucks, and he is not sure why Budget shows them as being available at his location. Total BS. I had to scramble to locate another 26' box truck. If you think you have a reserved truck at this location - better call in to verify - they most likely do not have a truck for you.

told they would give 20 free miles to return the truck to the pick up site since their trucks were in high demand this weekend. My son in law returned the truck and was told to hide it out back. Looked at my checking account and there was an additional $36 charged. I called the company - the guy was stumbling all over himself, then after 3 days he had a girl call and I questioned her thoroughly. She called me back and said she was having Avis refund me a credit of $36 and I should see it in my account by Wed. I won't give this company ANY stars because they don't deserve any. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.

If I could give negative stars I would! I reserved a truck a few weeks ago and two days prior I received a call.... the very young woman stated they had my reservation for the 17" truck, but they would not have a truck for me, she was calling to let me know. Absolutely no offer of another truck (though I found out they did not have any available trucks after asking), nor did they offer another option, and initially no apology! When I asked the very young woman what their definition of a reservation was.... she started hollering at me. She told me how she did not like making ALL these calls! All these calls was my thought. If the company knew how to retain a reservation this very young unprofessional woman would not need to make ALL these calls! I asked to speak with her supervisor and was told she didn't have one. I immediately called Uhaul and though they did not have the size truck I was requesting they upgraded me for no extra cost. Maybe the Budget employees should take some customer service lessons from Uhaul. Budget = Worse service I have ever endured.... do not go here!

I booked a 24' truck over 4 weeks in advance. Less than 36 hours before truck pickup I received a call from Lynn at this location, and was told "Sorry, we have no trucks available at this time, and I spoke with my inventory manager and we unfortunately have no trucks available anywhere in the state of PA". Mind you, I had movers already reserved for the next day. This location told me that no truck of any size was available. I stated I had this reserved for weeks and was given a "yeah, sorry". I called U-Haul to quickly make a new reservation, which was now 4X the cost the day of. In the meantime, I called Budget customer service to explain the situation. They stated they had a truck available at the N George St location. I then proceeded to go on with my reservation from a location 5 MINUTES AWAY.... "no trucks available anywhere in the state of PA"? It should also be mentioned that the N George St location had three 24' trucks in inventory. I don't think Lynn tried too hard. He doesn't deserve your business. Do yourself a favor and reserve through the other location right up the road, their service was great.

They completely shortchange you on alloted miles and make you 'buy' additional miles. Their open hours are a joke as well

We had a 4 oclock appointment, when we arrived there was a sign saying they would return at 5. No one showed up after waiting an hour. We left and rented from a competitor down the street. I may stop in later this week just so I can speak to the irresponsible rep that left us waiting outside there store for over an hr. During hours that they were supposed to be open.
