They have big inventory that doesn't move for months and it's easy to see why. Salesmen look for easy simple sales and put no effort into earning the sale, sales managers aren't much better. Ready to buy and the sales manager decided to back off the trade values listed on the sales sheet from the last weekend and over smaller amounts that was flat out petty. If you walk into Giambalvo GMC with cash in hand and accept whatever they tell you I'm sure you'll be treated like royalty but if you're looking for a dealer that will work to earn your business save your time and go elsewhere even if they do have the vehicle you want.

Thank you, Bob Mailman, for a pleasant buying experience!I was in the market for a larger truck and after a very smooth buying process and owning the vehicle a few days, I'm excited to say that I'm thrilled with my purchase. After getting the run around from local dealerships in Long Island NY I was fortunate enough to find Jack Giambalvo GMC. Bernard Little was my point of contact for my impending purchase of a GMC Sierra AT4. Bern from the start was a consummate professional! He not only reassured me about my purchase but he explained the added costs of purchasing a vehicle out of state. No hidden fees or gimmicks. I could not ask for a kinder salesman! Unfortunately, my mother who had been stricken with a possible terminal illness started to get progressively worse. Bern, being understanding and compassionate offered to have the vehicle delivered at no cost. No dealership or salesman has ever offered that before. Despite not being able to purchase my mother's illness I would highly recommend Jack Giambalvo GMC. Bern's kindness is a testament to his character and the values of the dealership.

I live 1 1/2 hours from Jack Giambalvo Buick GMC. I had test drove a white 2024 Buick Envista Avenir at a local Chambersburg dealership - vehicle was already slated to be traded to another dealership and I was hoping salesman and mgr would search for the same type of vehicle. They did not. I didn't wait and did my own search and found the vehicle I wanted in York, PA, at Jack Giambalvo Buick GMC. I called and made an appt and Al (manager) was very friendly and directed us to our salesman Bernard Little (Bern) who was throughly knowledgeable about the vehicle, took us on a nice long test drive and worked with us on our trade in. Bern was very helpful in the buying process and drove the vehicle 2 hours down to my place of work 2 days later to go over the various apps and controls of my new car. I am very pleased with my vehicle and the wonderful staff that helped me in that process. By the way, I'm still waiting on that dealership from Chambersburg to call me back. Thank you, Bern, for your patience and help in understanding all the bells and whistles on my Avenir.

took my encore in for check engine light and told knock sensor needed replacing, paid over $500.00, two weeks later check engine light came on again saying knock sensor, they said nothing wrong, 4 weeks later again check engine came on again saying knock sensor, this time told it's problem with pistons and over $5,000.00. They could care less that you are a veteran, retired on fixed income, car has been there two weeks and still waiting. Heed my warning, take your car somewhere else!

I had a great experience with this dealership. I reached out on their website regarding a specific vehicle I was interested in. I was promptly contacted by a salesperson via email. When I came up to visit the dealership the truck was out front, ready to test drive. My salesperson, Bern Little, was great. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and I didn't feel pushed or coerced into this vehicle. I feel like I was treated fairly and respectfully, which makes the stressful process of buying a new vehicle all the more tolerable. Bern Little walked me through all the features and setup of the truck before I left the lot and has followed up with several times to make sure I've got everything I need. Thanks Bern!As far as the dealership itself, it's very clean and professional. It's also very well stocked with inventory compared to all the other dealerships in the area. Prices were very reasonable compared to the several other dealerships I visited.

I would really like to let everyone know that my experience at Jack Giambalvo Buick GMC was absolutely amazing! Not only do I absolutely love my car (used 2015 Hyundai Accent with low miles and in exceptional condition) the whole buying experience was great! Couldn't have asked for a better salesman Bern Little, and sales manager Al Monks! It is a big deal buying a car and they made they really made the whole experience much more enjoyable. Everything was explained, nothing was rushed, and I knew that if anything crazy happened they would help me any way they could. I can't recommend them enough!

In Dec. 2021 we put a deposit down for a brand new 2022 GMC HD 3500 Denali. It was literally one the easiest sales as we knew exactly what we wanted and were paying cash. I contacted the salesman and requested pricing. He did promptly get that back to me. We ordered it and we knew it would be a wait. We didn't mind waiting. What we did mind was that during our waiting period our sales guy was never available and eventually off for months. And then, he completely disappeared. No one from the dealership bothered to follow up with us. We had a very difficult time over those months getting any communication on progress. After his disappearance we spoke with different people at different times; but information was always difficult to attain. In all, we had 4 sales people through the process. Finally, manager Al contacted us to say the truck was in. Al is not an asset in terms of customer service to the Jack Giambalvo family. After waiting patiently for 6 + months, Al's main concern was when we were going to pick up. No more, no less. (Please note, June/July are our business's busiest months. We asked for a little patience in getting there as we were working out of town. After waiting 6+months and often going weeks without replies to emails or voicemails we felt that was not unreasonable. ) The truck was in for no more than 2 1/2 weeks and we even offered to put additional monies down, knowing time was an issue. At no time did they offer to deliver the truck or make arrangements to stay after hours). We kept in communication with Al, however at one point he threatened to sell the truck. We told him no problem, we'll order elsewhere. He changed his tune after that. We scheduled our CASH pick up for last Saturday via Al, and was very disappointed that we were passed off onto yet another salesman. (Al was not there). Bern who seems to have knowledge of his product and has offered to be assistance to us should we need anything, is the only positive employee experience we had with this venture. We have some small issues with the truck that it remains to be seen how/when they will be resolved. But in terms of actually buying a new vehicle in the future, I can confidently say we will NOT return to purchase a vehicle from Jack Giambalvo .

We went to look for a new Yukon and not only was the inventory/ selection sparse, our salesman was clueless. Knew very little about the new models. I purchased from another dealership and they refused to honor the GMC extended service maintenance package we upgraded to. They even took it on step further and told me to cancel it with the previous dealership and tried to sell me their service package. Completely unethical. I would not recommend to anyone looking for a new/ used care or for service. Sad to see this is how they treat local healthcare professionals.

Over the holiday break I took my mom to Jack Giambalvo to review her lease. End of the year, end of the month is the absolute best time to negotiate. Dealers want to get cars out the door to get their factory bonuses. Yes - I was in the car biz for years - but did they know...absolutely not. We met Bern, the salesman, in the parking lot. He happily took us for a test drive in the model vehicle we requested. We wanted to make sure she was comfortable in the newer model with body style changes etc. After the test drive he basically was ready to let us go - I think he assumed we wanted to wait for her original sales person who was on vacation. I asked him to work up a number on the car we drove. It was red - she wanted red and it was the only red terrain at all of the local dealers. Bern was incredibly friendly, talked a lot, a no pressure kind of guy. First number that came out was absolute garbage - $25 per month over what she was originally paying. Yes, new car, higher price, lots of extras that she wasn't used to..you'd think it's an OK number. After some "negotiating" I asked he go back to his manager for a better number - we're missing some incentives here etc etc. He came back with a much better number $50 less than her current payment, pulling her out of her current lease and less money down due to her GMC power card. If any of you are GMC heads out there - apply for this credit card she used it for practically every purchase over the course of 2.5 years and got almost $1500 back to put down on the new lease. Yes we spent almost all day there (the reason for 1 star off)...I'm not sure how they can possibly move so slow..but if you have patience and a little push I'm sure you can walk away with a good deal. I highly recommend Bern as your salesman.
