In August 2023 our first appointment for grooming finally arrived (booked it from the Petco app). Arrived early. First disappointment was to see how dirty the floor was, especially since the store was not yet open for business. It was noticably worse as I entered the grooming area.Bottom line - they did not have me on their schedule. Eventually looked up my name at the West York Petco and found my appointment. Second disappointment was to see that the groomer did not offer to call the other store for me, did not offer to book another appointment for me at her shop, did not express empathy for my predicament.Sat in the car to book another appointment, this time at the Eastern York store. Discovered it is an app flaw: because my first appointment on the app had been booked at the Wester York store (in 2022) each time I now chose the Eastern York store to book an appointment the app automatically switches back to the "default" store whenever I click "submit". So I called and booked another appointment for 15 days out at the Eastern York store.Third disappointment came this morning. I arrived at the Eastern York store for my 9 a.m. appointment. As the groomer asked the required list of questions I answered that my dog does, indeed, have a heart murmur. Was then told she could not accept my dog without a written note from the vet indicating it was safe to groom her. The website nor the app indicate this information - seemingly vital information - yet I was turned away, again.For some time my dog was groomed by Petco in another state. My frustrations are not with Petco as a whole (well, except for the app glitch and lack of communication disclosure), but rather with the Petco in Eastern York. The groomer has a serious lack of human-communication and customer service skills. And the floor really needs to be scrubbed.

Went to the cashier with concerns about a certain tank. They bigger fish in this tank has been bullying and biting the smaller fishes tail fins off (see pics) the cashier seemed more upset about this then the own manager. When we told her, she goes "okay, sounds good" then walked away. Good job Petco for having a MANAGER that doesn't even care about the animals in HER care. 0 STARS

Put in our animals profile "aggressive" and cancelled our appt 2 hours before set time, even though west york store location has him serviced majority of the time. Only reason for this appt was because west york was fulfilled in their schedules.

I liked one of the doctors before she was very nice my dog gets very nervous when around dogs and barks and the one lady doctor keep calling my dog crazy dog and she was yelling at me because she didn't have the patience for a barking dog I just needed all his shot to get him trained she keep saying this is not the place for you very rude I didn't like her at all I feel she is not professional at all but I did like all of the assistance they were more professional then the vet doctor!! Rude lady with short hair

The last doctor that was there with my dog was great. Kind and caring. Its hit or miss with clinic doctors. There is one doctor there once in awhile I don't care for. He is very uncompassionate. But we go for the cheap shots I guess.

My dog was mistreated by the groomer who proceeded to lift him onto a table by holding his leash & using her knee & could have caused injury to his neck or belly . I reported it to the store manager who proceeded to give me a coupon worth $4 towards my next purchase. I contacted the regional office & filed a complaint but never received a reply even after giving them the store location which was obviously required to handle the matter.
