Don't know what Mark is talking about, I enjoy the staff when I come thru on the evenings. Coffee is always hot and I enjoy the kind faces on my way home from work. Keep up the hard work you do!

The morning staff at this location need a refresher course in manners. There was a young girl working this morning when I went in. Not my first encounter with her. She is downright rude. No people skills at all. I ask for cigarettes, she rang me up, I paid, she said have a good day. I told her i wasn't done yet because I needed lottery tickets. This annoyed her to no end. I cringe every time I go in there and see her working. A while back I went in and she was making sandwiches and told me I was just going to have to wait. I should have walked out. She needs to be retrained. The older woman there is no better. I ask for my cigarettes but she wants me to say the brand, color and what size. The next time I went in I gave her the description as she asked. She then wanted me to say full flavor. She is absolutely rude! These two should never be allowed to work with the public. No people skills, rude and just plain hateful. I'll go the extra distance and visit wawa.

I went to Rutters the other day on Carlisle Avenue to use the ATM while I was there getting gas, the ATM machine inside ate my bank card. I said something to the Rutters employee they offered no help and just acted like it wasn’t their problem. They said they can’t help me. I made them call their manager, and the guy behind the register was on the phone with the manager unplugged the ATM after unplugging it he said it will either spit your car out or shredded .. gee thanks I could’ve had an M&T BANK associate come out, open it up and give me my card, but Rutters took it upon their own hands to shred my bank card and continueed to give me attitude! I even called corporate spoke to a guy named Kevin told me the same thing it’s not their problem !!!! Unbelievable the world we live in I will never go to a Rutters again!!!!

I had every intention of going into this store until the elderly woman working came out of the store to yell at me while I was still in my vehicle. I looked around to see who she was speaking to, because I'd done nothing wrong. But that's also just ugly behavior. I was sitting in the lot writing this review and she just came out again to bark at me. Really disappointing behavior. I drove down to the other chain to finish this post.

I used to frequent this store daily and spent roughly $150 a week there, but that has changed in recent months. There are 2 people who have been working at this location on Carlisle Rd in Shiloh, (York, PA) for a little while now. When I see they are inside, I leave and go out of my way to go to Turkey Hill or Sheetz. One is an older lady usually in the morning who is rude and nasty when she's alone but puts on a front when the manager is there. She also has to finger up everything rather than just letting you hold up your ID and your Rutter's card and zapping them with her wand hands-free. Why? Especially in this day of trying to keep germ transfer to a minimum. The other person is a young man who thinks he has to be a clown all the time. He is always either tossing merchandise in the air to see if he can catch it, telling off-color jokes, or making passes at other men who are shopping (and a straight male friend of mine did not appreciate that the last time we went there). This employee also can't multitask. If mgr or someone is talking to him he can't, or won't, continue to ring people up. Or if he sees something shiny or an accident on the road he will stop for a lengthy amount of time to stare, regardless of the line at his register. I realize it's hard to find good help these days, but I will not go in there when either of them are working anymore. It's worth it to me to drive a little further. A pity too because I live practically across the street. I hope the manager will catch some of this stuff happening somehow and realize she has a need for some fresh help. It's supposed to be a convenience store. Fast. Without having to watch the clown act or have your cards all fingered up and getting angry at you if you refuse to let her touch them. And the dude ... his jokes aren't funny, especially when you're just trying to get to a funeral and you need mints and he's trying to be cute. That was one of my last visits also. I'll come back when the place is cleaned up. I'll also change my review once they're both gone. I only left 3 stars because the manager and another young lady are nice to people and carry themselves in a professional manner.
