They had to put new wires in our car that a squirrel chewed. They charged us over $7.500 to repair it. We got it back the windshield wipers didn’t work and the heat didn’t work either. Then we took it back to them and they so called fixed it again. I took it home it kept miss firing. I took it back to them they told me it needed an EGR valve. I ask them how much to put one in for me. They said over $600.00 i said I’ll take it to have another garage check it. The garage looked at it and it was a wire that wasn’t put back in the spark plug right. The other garage said no charge. The car now runs like a champ. I will never go back to this over charging place again. They can’t even get things right then to over charge you too.after I wrote this review they called me and complained about my review. If they keep calling I’m going to have them arrested for harassment. Yes this means you Bryan. You should learn to try your work out before giving it back to the owner before they find out you didn’t have the windshield wipers hooked up or heat. My wife had to drive to work as a nurse in a freezer car. I hope you’re proud of your self Bryan! You gave the car back to us with the loose spark plug wire and said it was something else you wanted me to pay for. I did not yell at you when you called and begged me to take down my review. By the way you told me you would put an EGR valve in for over 600.00. It’s funny the EGR valve for it was $135.00. It takes no more then 15 minutes if that to put one in. They’re right at the top of the engine. It only takes two bolts and one little electric clap. How can you come up with over $600.00 and all other garages change only $200.00. I’m glad I cleared that up too. You didn’t need to reach out to my insurance company. I already told my insurance about the awful work you guys do with checking the vehicle before you gave it back to us. My wife’s wanted me to thank you for not hooking the heat back up so she had to drive to work that night with no heat. You got over paid as far as who paid you that don’t matter. The fact is you didn’t do the job right from day one.yeah my spark plug issue isn’t covered by insurance like you say. Especially when it was just because your lack of service didn’t know to push the wire. A k on the plug after pulling it off. Give me a break and quit crying because I gave you a one star and that was more then you deserved.

Most unprofessional mechanical service I have experienced. If I could leave a 0 star I would. Called twice after several days to ask what was going on. No answer. I eventually went there and retrieved my car.
Person behind the counter first lied to me and said they looked at the car, but then admitted they didn't. Brian then called me 20 minutes later to tell me never to come back. What a nice place.

I had talked to Brian about work that I needed done on a transmission and he was busy and said that he would get back to me Wednesday, the next day with a price. Four days later he answers my phone call and got pissed at me for asking, not blaming, a mechanic a question if he had caused a problem and answered my call to complain to me that I questioned the mechanic there. The mechanic answered me and I thought that was that. All I remember was the mechanic putting me in doubt of what I was being told or I wouldn't have said anything. Neither here nor there at this point. As Brian kept talking I hung up on him as there was nothing else worth my time to be said. I was always taught that if in doubt ask the question to clarify. I will take my business elsewhere. Brian just thought he had to get his two cents in. lol..!
In business this is what some call a "Suffrage," when you blast your mouth too soon and suffer the loss of business because of it.
I'm looking for a full time garage for our three cars and you just dropped out of the running. You were our first choice so I'll keep looking.
Bye Now...$
In answer to your fiction below:
As a result of my complaint about Whitmer's Garage this little boy writes a wad of nonsense from what I said to a mechanic there asking the possible cause of a problem to why I am not in business any longer. I retired after 44 years in business at age 68, it was time to enjoy. What I asked the mechanic was if he was the cause of the problem and when he said no, that was that. It is not unusual to find a problem caused by someone hired to fix an issue. This Whitmer took as a personal insult which I did not mean until he fired salvoes at me reflecting his lack of business acumen and minute mind.
Regina Myers review..? lol..! There was nobody present but myself and the mechanic when I asked the mechanic the question. Belligerent ( hostile and aggressive: ) I was not, calm and steady I was. Did you place that review yourself..? lol..!
You spew nonsense trying to cover your ills and you have lost thousands of dollars of my business. I hope you can find a meal...
Brian, you don't need me to make you look bad. You're doing a fine job of this by yourself. Your thoughts on this matter are quite twisted.
All this, my genuine opinion.

I went to witmer automotive due to a clanking sound I was hearing when I hit the gas pedal as well as my check engine and traction control light coming on. Found out the engine plate was loose and I had 2 bad rear wheelbarings. I was quoted originally 1090 to replace both which was already slightly price gouged for parts/labor. When I went to pick it up they ended up charging me $1606.60 stating it was more labor intensive than anticipated. They never called to tell me the price would increase that much so I was unaware until pick up. This price is beyond gouged to the point where it's almost an insult. I give 2 stars because the work was done but I would tell people to be cautious using their services as they will gouge the hell out of labor costs

They charged me $62 for a safety inspection and $160 for an exemption emissions. Very predatory if you don’t know anything about cars. Front desk guy is very slow in my opinion. I can’t comment much about service, as I wouldn’t never take my car there for service, seeing how predatory they are with your cars “issues”

This is the only shop I’ve taken classic/retro cars to that hasn’t disappointed me one bit. I had an 86 corvette that was totaled in August of 2023 and I had 3 shops deine looking at it and one tell me the frame was trashed and couldn’t be save but Whitmer and their crew discovered the frame was perfectly within spec and they fixed the car with an alignment and a few tie rod ends. As far as I’m concerned they are the only show working on my corvette from now. I’ve started taking my Fiero’s there as well and they do great service with those odd little cars too. They are great people to deal with and they are always super helpful and quick to get me an appointment. Strongly recommend to anyone with classics, exotics, odd balls, etc…

I was scheduled for a diagnosis on a high idle on a 1996 Ford F150. I also asked for an estimate to replace a window motor, headlight, and tailpipe. I already had these components. On 10-25-23, Witmer had my truck from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. and could not conclusively diagnosis the reason for the high idle. I was told they would send the estimate on the other repairs. They charged me $320.29 and did NOTHING. A week passed and I still did not have an estimate. When I called, Bryan told me that he would do the estimate and send it to me. Today is 1-5-24 and I have never received the estimate, no diagnosis, and no repairs. I took my truck to another shop in Baltimore. They diagnosed the issue, made the repair, gave me an estimate on the other repairs, and charged me $244.86. A scam? You tell me. I went there because of the reviews. Really?
Bryan, I saw your response and you are full of it. I called you after a week. You NEVER called me! NEVER! You never left a message! You were supposed to email me. You never did. I was told that by the mechanic and by you. That is why you requested my email. You just now called me because you saw my review. That was the reason for your call. I did not answer because I was having supper. I have no desire to waste anymore time or money on Witmer!

I would not recommend going here… I came here for an inspection. I was told it was going to take no more than an hour. I was there for 3 hours. To add to this, I wasn’t the only one waiting for this long. A male in the lobby with me was waiting for even longer after being told an hour. Another guy waited over a day and his diagnostic was still not done. I paid $180 because they charged over $70 for blinkers that I do not believe I even needed. To add to this, they charged me $44 for windshield wipers. The man infront of me was charged almost $300 after being quoted around $130. This place is a rip off and they do not value your time whatsoever. I do not recommend anyone goes here.

They were able to fit me in for a last minute inspection, and I was so grateful (and the cost was more than reasonable)! The guys there were all very friendly, kind, polite, and respectful. My car has found a new home for any of my future service needs! Love this place!

Very courteous, excellent service. Needed my car inspected and they came and picked it up at my home, no charge, inspected it and dropped it off for a very reasonable price. I am disabled and the free pickup and drop off was very surprising, thank you very much!!!

They were able to fit me in the same day for an inspection and emissions test. Bryan was very nice and explained everything to me in a way I understood and didn't pressure me to do more to my vehicle than it needed. Will be back for any service or repairs I need.
