During the Black Friday sale, we went to the store (Charlottetown) and purchased a TV. We paid $1,150 in total. Went home and unfortunately, we were given a TV that had issues (screen dead pixel). So we called customer service support and was told that someone from the store would contact us. We waited and waited but no one called. So we went to the store again and informed them of the issue. They wanted us to bring the TV back. I asked kindly if someone could pick it up because it's very inconvenient and it wasn't our fault that the TV had issues. Also, we had to get a taxi to bring this TV home because it wouldnt fit in our car. So I didn't want to pay dditional $40 fare because this wasn't our fault. The store Team Leader, Karan, was very kind enough to offer a $40 gift card. Also he had an associate who was very helpful and explained how product return works (i didnt get his name). Now that I think of it, the agent who sold us the TV shouldve have double checked that it works, and we could have skipped all this stressful situation. I appreciate that the fare was compesentated for a $40 gift card, but our time and effort was wasted. We had to unboxed, boxed, then unboxed. Load, unload, load.. was very stressful and time consuming and that we werent able to do our list of errands. Also, when my husband brought back the TV, he waited 10minutes and no one assisted him.. he started getting frustrated and asked somebody if no one was gonna help him. Good thing, my friend, Apoorv worked there til evening, and he is with the warehouse team I believe, so this wasnt really his responsibility, but he helped my husband out. This was just a very frustrating experience and could have never happened if only the agent who sold us the TV, double checked it. He just brought out a stock and asked for a payment. Thats it.

Unless you know exactly what you're getting into and are knowledgeable about the product yourself, don't go here. My family had countless issues being told incorrect information and being sold wrong products over the years. Last straw for me was a couple of years ago when I purchased a phone and put $500 down. They never put the money towards my phone, my provider had no idea it is existed. It ended up being months of back and forth to get my money back. They weren't even able to find the receipt, I had to go to a different best buy location out of province to finally acquire the receipt and it still took another month to get my money back because they told me they could only give it in cash despite the fact I had paid in card. I don't know if this is accurate but I was under the impression that without my original receipt, had I paid cash, there would have been no way to find my purchase or get my money back. I fortunately did get my money returned and although the employees were kind, it is clear the company does not focus on training them and ensuring they have the knowledge they need to serve customers in a store where they are often spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

In September I bought an Xbox controller from the Charlottetown Best Buy, along with a 2 year warranty. A little over a month later I realized there was a problem with it so I went in to do an even exchange for a new one that worked properly. I was turned away and was told I could only mail it in if I wanted a new controller and that it would take over a month to get back to me. Regardless of the warranty process if I was sold a faulty controller I shouldn’t have to wait that long for something I paid over $250 for.

Two years ago , we bought a shark robot from charlottetown best buy and we bought 7 years warranty and payed $100 extra. Now the robot is not charging and we went to get a new one because we have warranty for 7 years but they said we can't get a new one because the price for a new robot is more expensive than this old. So they suggest that we can get a gift card $ and buy a new robot shark for $600.Not good service

Last week I went into the Charlottetown store, specifically to the Geek Squad. Worst service experience I've had in a very long time! In fact, I would describe it as a "disgustinging" example of customer service. After complaining to BestBuy, I was assured I would be getting a call from the store manager. That call never came. I am appalled with the way I was treated and I will not be back! If I ever decide to shop at BestBuy again, it will most definitely not be at the Charlottetown location! I would sooner pay the $50.00 for the bridge and the extra gas money and drive to Moncton or Halifax, than to subject myself to the treatment I received at the Charlottetown store! As for computer service, I'll be using a technician from Summerside from now on! BUYER BEWARE!

Good variety of products. Prices... not so much. I felt like Future Shop had so many more deals than what I've found going to Best Buy.Competitive pricing never hurts; otherwise it's the decision of spending $80 at Walmart or $80 at Best Buy for the same product. (And I can get groceries, clothing, furniture, etc at Walmart... just saying.)

Communication is poor and not willing to help. The staff does not have enough knowledge. Local Bestbuy store supposed to be convenient, but totally disappointed. Will not go back when you have tons of choices online.

Decent store, usually low on stock on products. And most staff don't understand technology.

Mixed bag when it comes to service I often find things more expensive in store and limited selection.

Was hanging around the computers waiting for customer service on two separate occasions, looking for information on a product before making a purchase. Both times, multiple employees made eye contact and then refused to acknowledge my existence. Fair to say they lost a pretty hefty potential sale.
