Buyer beware:We opened our business account at BMO trusting they are a secure bank, but they are the only bank in Canada that does not offer 2 factor authentication on their accounts.Someone managed to e transfer money out of our account and BMO can’t explain how they did this. They are not willing to reimburse the money, but their account agreement states clients are not liable for fraud. We have taken every step to secure our account and devices, but 2 factor authentication would have prevented this fraud. Shame on you BMO.Do not use this bank. Choose one of the other 4 major banks: they take security seriously.

I went in to open an account at the grafton Street, Charlottetown, PEI canada branch, the service I got from Bhavin Patel was exceptional, he patiently explained all my options and helped me pick what was best for me. I certainly recommend BMO bank for anyone. Great service.

On Tuesday, May 23 at 10 am, I waited for over 20 minutes to be attended to. Others longer. Two people ahead of me left frustrated. The disappointed thing was the assistant bank manager on duty did not do anything to stop her staff from taking coffee breaks while 8 people were still waiting. Why not allow the staff to take their breaks after the line is depleted. Forty years as a BMO customer, I have never seen such poor customer service by the assistant Manager.

Friendly staff. Helpful advice
