Typical IKEA store but some of the staff, not so good

This is a large store where you can get ideas on how to decorate and to purchase anything home related. The only downside is that everytime I want something and go to the check-out it turns out to be a demo. I could spot a demo and choose the item next to it and it will always be a second demo even though I am downstair at the correct place. Just my kind of luck!

So went to Boucherville location to avoid big crowds and traffic on a Tuesday morning, had the cooking ginger breadhouse in mind as last minute sock stuffers, the items at Montreal location was $2.99 and the icing also $2.99. The Boucherville location was at full price for gingerbread kit and $1.99 for the icing! When I pointed this out to the clerck he was infazed, saying each location does what it wants!! In this economy even Ikea is crooking us???! REALLY!!!! SHAME ON YOU.

Considering this IKEA is situated further from Montreal, I found it less busy and therefore easier to get a parking spot, especially during the weekend. Quite often certain items out front of stock at the IKEA Montreal can still be found here. The service was always polite and available. Washrooms and restaurants are kept clean and organized. This is my first choice when I visit the IKEA stores.

The store organization is always aligned to help the customer. The application that allows you to access a quick queue at the checkout is one of the latest good ideas. I recommend.

The little snack bar in front of the checkouts, the delay was extremely long when I went there. I waited 10 minutes for 2 hot dogs.

The order pickup needs some work but in general this store is pretty good. Good service and restaurants and facilities are always clean. Staff is helpful and mostly bilingual and friendly. I will definitely visit again.

IKEA Montréal and Boucherville don’t offer the best customer service! They refuse to go above and beyond to help customers, customers have to driver 1 hour 1/2 to get a product they want because they won’t ship it to the store in Montreal and they won’t deliver to your address. The only thing IKEA Boucherville was good for was giving the Covid virus! Thanks for your complete disregard for people’s health!!!
