CIBC will gladly hold your money for you. The problems begin when you try to get it back. I was lured by a high interest promotional offer which has now expired. Tangerine Bank allowed me to move my funds over to CIBC by Internet transfer without charge. However, CIBC turns something that Tangerine Bank offers without charge, into a money-grab. Finding the least expensive option for actually accessing my own money required navigating a list of Personal Account Service Charges that runs, (I kid you not), to 45 pages! It took me a trip to this branch to determine that because I am senior in age, CIBC would allow me to have my money in the form of a bank draft. The catch was that I would have to return to the branch on the following Monday, as there was no one on duty on Saturdays with the necessary signing authority for such a transaction. All the more reason why I have closed this account and resolve to give Tangerine Bank all of my banking business.

Oh my Goodness. I have never seen such an inefficient branch of RBC. Several desks but only 2 staff members to serve. I am a business account holder from Nova Scotia and had to waste my time to get my bank draft done. It took nearly one hour for the long queue 😬

This is the worst branch ever. Very unprofessional customer service. Avoid it at all cost. They don't deserve even 1 star. It's ridiculous I asked them to print out the T5 form for my taxes. I'm here since 5pm now it's almost 7pm. They close at 7pm. I still don't have this document. Waiting for them to speak with customer service because it's so hard for them. I really don't understand what kind of people they hired here...You don't deserve to work at the branch...

Worst service ever. My next step would be to move my account. Regret having an account with CIBC.The bank wouldn’t accept a post dated check (I think this was fair) for my mortgage account, so I send someone to deposit the check. I was told the check has to be deposited to my checking account. After which I need go online and do a mortgage payment. There is no logic behind this, just an old outdated system.My last check was deposited directly to my mortgage account.I come from a family of bankers. This is absurd. Tellers need to be trained.

2.4 stars what I see when I'm writing this review. This rating is justified.The teller seem to be lost and incompetent. I normally do not write reviews like this, but the staff here have the skill to make a bad situation worse.Not helpful at all in anyway.

Been with this branch for our personal banking for years. Staff are always pleasant and accommodating. Our financial advisor Michael Huang is super knowledgeable, responsive and professional, addressing our needs in a very timely manner with great accuracy. At times, the que is long, but hey, you are in Canada ?.
