I live a couple of Km from another Roots, which was closed on Google. Drove 22 km back and forth and the store was closed. Neither the hours on google (which might not be updated) or the ones on the store front matched the reality.

no one will border you for choosing your own stuff cause everything is already shown and two staffs were chatting their own affairs and no help at all if you asked for. Even after boxing day clothings and accessories are expensive

Four and a half stars! The pants are very comfortable and the hoodie is nice too! T-shirts are great too! The half-star deduction is because the styles are updated slowly. If you like it and want to repurchase it, if you don’t want to, it will be gone!

Terrible customer service by assistant manager Ishwa. I drove 30 minutes with my young child only to be told that she could not assist with me with an exchange, saying she did not have authority to process it. I immediately called another roots (Fairview) asking me if they could assist me with the same exchange and they said that it would be their pleasure to help me at any time.

Came in with my wife on August 2 - we drove 2 hours from Ottawa to shop at Quartier Dix30 and regularly do so. We shop a lot and both work in the service industry. We stopped by Roots as per usual and it was empty though a couple of people came and went while we were there. There were two attendants working. One was helpful and the other I didn't speak to until we went to the cash register. Typical shopping experience: we picked up some stuff, unfolded it to have a good look, and put it back down. I tried a pair of pants on and didn't like them. Finally settled on a couple of shirts from the Men's Clearance section but decided not to take one of the items at the cash register; both attendants were present. The helpful attendant was ringing me through asked my name for the system. I asked why they needed my name and she said it was for a personalized shopping experience or something to that effect. I told her my name was Elvis Presley. She asked if I was joking and I said I did and that I don't like sharing my name when buying things. The other attendant who hadn't said anything until now seemed deeply insulted by this and said that the sale was final. I said there was nothing stating anywhere that the sale was final and she confirmed that it was. I calmly discussed things over with my wife and we decided not to take the shirt and turned to leave. No shouting. No fighting. No snotty Karen-like remarks. Nothing. The same angry attendant then asked us in an accusatory tone if we were going to take the other things - the question confused us and I asked her what she was asking about and she pointed to the shirts that my wife had unfolded an left on the table. This Roots representative was giving us grief for daring to have a look at the products. This brutal, unnecessary, comment after we had obviously turned to leave. The gesture was petty, mean and honestly it felt like we had been bullied. This is not the type of service we'd expect from a premium shopping venue such as Quartier Dix30. Shame on this employee and shame on Roots for not screening its employees better.
