READ WELL BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS BRANCHI have already had difficulty with bmo to manage a rather particular file and I found them incompetent... But this Cibc Chicoutimi branch is on a whole different level... They managed to make me miss my taking possession because they are too incompetent to apply for a bridge loan in order. I gave them about 4 weeks to finalize the file and seeing that the deadline was approaching I gave them another 48 hours to resolve the situation, at the end of the 48 hours they ASSURED me that everything was in order but when the notary asked for the funds they never sent the funds for the bridge loan. I've met some incompetents, but at cibc chicoutimi it's completely mind-blowing. NEVER trust them, they are not afraid to lie to you. I have a family, 3 young children and the movers are booked, my house is sold. I trusted them way too much, it's been several days since I should have canceled the financing with cibc and gone elsewhere but for fear of not having time to proceed with another bank I continued with them and now I risks being seriously in trouble.

New to CIBC here.Worst banking services experience of my life and I’m 50 so that says a lot.Will never recommend CIBC to anyone!Spent 45 minutes on the phone to finally being asked to go to a physical CIBC Bank 20 miles from my house so I can reset my password!In 2022,absolutely ridiculous!I had to confirm my identity twice during those 45 minutes each time with multiple questions to answer to prove my identity.If this happens again to me,I will shut down this card in a heartbeat.This is the new Costco CIBC MasterCard,I believe Costco made a big mistake going with CIBC just for a few points more on the bottom line!Really sad!
