Hi to all,
I have been a regular customer at IGA in Cavendish Mall for quite some time. However, I recently had a very disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share.
On June 6, 2025, I purchased a birthday cake from this location. The following morning, while serving the cake, I noticed a hair embedded in it. Naturally, I returned to the store with the original receipt and the hair carefully wrapped in a napkin, expecting a professional and understanding response.
Unfortunately, the situation was handled very poorly by the store manager, Joseph. When I explained the issue, instead of showing empathy or offering an apology, he immediately questioned the credibility of my concern. He stated, “I'm not sure if the hair is actually from the cake,” implying that I might not be telling the truth. To make matters worse, he raised his voice in the store and walked away without offering any solution or even a simple apology.
His tone was aggressive and dismissive, and his behavior was far from what one would expect from a manager in a customer-facing role. I left the store feeling not only unheard and disrespected, but also extremely disappointed by the lack of basic courtesy and professionalism.
This experience ruined what was supposed to be a special day. The product was not only unsatisfactory, but the customer service made it significantly worse. I sincerely hope IGA takes customer complaints more seriously and reconsiders the leadership at this location.
As for myself, I will no longer be shopping at this branch.

Tried to do a return at 12:30 on Saturday March 15. The name of who helped me was something like Oudan. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. SO rude. I tried to return something within my rights, not opened less than 7 days, because I explained we ordered groceries and double bought something. He kept saying “well you didn’t buy it twice on this receipt” “this items are perfectly fine” then after getting the manager rudely processed my items and said “are you happy now” like are you kidding? And didn’t even give me a receipt so don’t trust he did anything. Not shopping at IGA anymore…and I drive a ways just to come here. Lost my business because of this guy.
