Judge for yourself.
I will let you judge yourself....
Just ridiculous
We waited for 1hr45 min to get our car.
Edit: For information, my comment dated July 28 or 27, 2017, the cocide was a long way away. I don't know how the comment entry date changed but I still have my receipts, the "Ahmed" at the beginning of the feedback says it all, and the few stars in the reviews too...

It's just another negative review but seeing the number of negative reviews I think you don't give a damn
I returned my vehicle to the Montreal airport, the person who received the vehicle told me not to worry and let me go. The next day, $300 was taken from me under the pretext that the vehicle was dirty.
I had a very unpleasant person on the phone from whom I asked for photos of the vehicle which I never received
TO FLEE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE STRIPPED
Thank you for your kind response which will ask me to send an email just to make a good impression but for which there will be no follow-up

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
On November 19th around 9:20 PM, I arrived at Budget to pick up a car I had rented through a third party (Uber). The reception clerk requested a piece of ID and a matching credit card. When I handed him my picture ID, I realized that the credit card I had was expired (by one month). I immediately informed the clerk about the situation and asked if there were any possible solutions. He explained that he required a valid credit card that matched the ID.
Since my brother was with me, I asked if he could provide his ID and credit card to make the reservation. The clerk told me that, because my brother did not have a full driver's license, he could not book the car under his name.
I went back to my car to search for another valid credit card, and fortunately, I found it. I returned to the counter and informed the clerk that I had located my valid card. However, the clerk began handling the card in an unusual manner—flipping it, folding it, and holding it under the light. I asked if there was any issue, and he replied, “Let me check with my boss in the office; I’ll be right back.” I found this response odd, but allowed him to proceed.
Ten minutes later, the clerk returned and informed me that he could not process my reservation. I asked for a reason, and he responded, "No, not really. We just don’t want to rent you a car." I insisted on understanding the reason, as this seemed unfair. He then said, “At first, you had an expired credit card, and then you went back to your car and brought a valid one.” At this point, I was confused. I had provided everything he asked for—a valid driver’s license and a valid credit card.
We continued going back and forth, but he still couldn’t provide a valid reason for denying my booking. I asked to speak with a manager, and he refused. I persisted, explaining that his reasoning made no sense and that I would like to speak to someone else. Just then, the "manager" (who didn’t appear to be a manager) emerged from his office. Before I could speak to him, he grabbed my credit card and began flipping it in his hands again. He told me that, since he had never seen this card before, he couldn’t accept it for the reservation. The card was a Neo Mastercard…He also said, “There are a lot of stolen cars these days.”
I responded, “Are you implying that I’m going to steal the car?” He replied, “No, that’s not what I said,” though it was clear that he was not making any sense. I was left feeling embarrassed and overwhelmed by the unfairness of the situation. This was not the first time I had rented from Budget, and it was the first time I had ever been treated this way. I was shaking and crying, still trying to understand what had gone wrong.
The manager concluded with, “Why don’t you go to Hertz or Enterprise to book a car?” At that point, I had no words left. I had spent over an hour at the counter, going back and forth with no resolution. I collected my belongings and left. To this day, I have never received an explanation for their behavior.
I will NEVER return to Budget again.

Very positive experience for us!
We were very afraid given the chaotic reviews, but the vehicle was taken in 20 minutes, the gentleman was incredibly kind, the vehicle barely 12,000km, very comfortable, and the return was made in 5 minutes without any surprises or extras.
We recommend this agency from YUL airport.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Unless you love to:
1) Wait in line for up to 2 hours to get your cat even if you are a so-called PREFERED member ;
2) Not having the category your reserved available and be charged extra for the other category that you did not want, 2 months after you returned the car, without your approval and without any message or invoice to justify.
3) Having a safety deposit of $1000 blocked on your credit card 1 month after you returned the car that you did not want and that you leased for just one day.
4) Having your card charged $400 by AVIS 2 months after you returned the car and after your safety deposit has been released, without any approval, message, invoice or justification.
5) Have absolutely no way to reach them as they absolutely never pick up the phone nor answer any e-mail. Even though you try 10 times a day for two weeks.
6) Get hanged up in the face when they pick up by mistake.
7) Talk to an Indian call center that has no clue and cannot do anything to assist.
You should AVOID THESE BANDITS AT ALL COST!!!!
You've been warned ⚠️

Very bad experience.
They gave me the car about 30 minutes before the booking time, telling me at the reception that it was the only car available with an American license plate at that time. I delivered the car on time (as booked) on
the next day and they withheld 230 Canadian dollars more because I delivered the car late, since for them the reservation started 30 minutes before, but obviously no one warned me of this. So be careful and if you can choose another company!

A wonderful trip, ending with a very bad experience with this brand!
Company that absolutely does not care about the safety of its customers.. money above all else..
A word of advice if you rent a vehicle from this company, BE SURE!
I don't recommend. And will not repeat the experience at Avis during my next trips to Montreal.

Expect delays up to 2 hours doing the line and the car is not going to be ready.

Following an incident that occurred in the middle of nowhere while returning from Montreal on a highway at 110km/h, the sunroof of our KIA Seltos in the closed position literally exploded without the help of any projectile. Fortunately, despite the surprise of the force of the implosion, the internal lining was not open and we were not covered with broken glass. We immediately returned the vehicle to AVIS to complete the report and pick up a second vehicle. What was my surprise to see the deductible being taken from my account even before receiving the letter containing a quote from the mechanic, 3 photos and a letter indicating that it was all my fault and that I had to pay. No expert report, no contact with the car manufacturer, no consideration for the danger incurred linked to this implosion. Following my request to take into consideration that this was not an isolated case (with supporting evidence), that there had already been a recall campaign for sunroofs in the KIA brand, AVIS did not NOTHING wanted to hear, asking me to provide proof that the manufacturer of course will never admit. AVIS clearly and deliberately chose to turn a blind eye to an incident that could have cost us our lives and decided to show extreme laziness by not demanding any accountability from the manufacturer and ease by going to get the money where it was. easier to recover in other words on my account at 7000km.

Very bad experience with the Avis Montréal agency.
First of all, 2 hours late!!!! to collect our car which did not correspond to what we had chosen because there was no trunk.
When returning the car problem to put gasoline with the pump gun.
Arriving at the office I explain it to the agent who tells me no problem.
What was my surprise 3 days later to be charged $135.
After explaining my case to the agent (because we rented two cars from this agency) sent two emails, no response from the agency.
When I received a response they billed me for 30 liters even though a maximum of 10 liters was missing. I returned to the office for an explanation, I sent an email still no response.
Agency to avoid because no dialogue and explanation they are thieves

We were able to quickly pick up our car and it was clean and a nice driving experience. Staff at pick-up and drop-off were friendly and helpful. The trouble began when we were charged a different price on our credit card from what our receipt said. Hours spent on the phone, and still no resolution. We will be submitting a chargeback through our credit card, which will hopefully rectify the situation. This is unfortunate since it was otherwise a positive experience.

Too bad I can't put zero, or even less than zero, because here, the scam is elevated to a masterful level!
We had made a reservation for a standard category Hyundai 6 months before the trip and on the big day, the car was not available. The only solution according to the agent is to agree to have a BMW instead. WE WERE OFFERED THE SECOND DRIVER OPTION BUT WE HAD TO PAY AN EXTRA 30 DOLLAR PER DAY otherwise we did not have a vehicle. In the end, we had to pay more than €450 more than the initial cost, this is called abuse of position, hostage taking or fraud, your choice.
Knowing that they add additional taxes, some unidentified and fanciful.
I've traveled quite a bit but this is the first time someone has done this to me and Canada is not an exotic country.... The least we could do was Avis upgrade for free. This is the usual commercial practice.
But now that we know the practices of this company, we are going to blacklist it.
So not surprised by the disastrous comments. While waiting for our vehicle, we could hear conversations at the counter from people experiencing the same problems as us. The scam seems well established.
