A good econofitess versus some other that I have been, going regularly here and the staff is friendly. People in the gym are nice and if you want to join in on someone in between sets they don't seem bothered by it. Overall the gym is clean and the machine are plentiful just a little to much space for the cardio machine but overall great gym and experience.

Other than the bathroom hand soap smelling like rotten foot, this gym is convenient and theres always an employee cleaning during the day which is great to see. Unfortunately, Gym goers struggle to clean their equipment after use here so be prepared to clean someone elses dirty body oil before AND after workouts. Bring your own tall towel to sit on so you dont end up on those oil imprints of peoples private parts which is on every machine 😂 bring your own cloth to be a bit more eco-friendly also! Very shifty service difficult to speak to a manager. Cancelled jy membership without my consent and still charged the entire month. I waited an 1h30 in person for the manager and they didn't arrive. I was told I would get a call and hours after the manager arrived still no news.
I took 15 min arguing back and forth on the phone with staff to get the manager on the line. Yeah the fees are low but the service sucks

I strongly advise against this establishment as long as they do not reshuffle the staff and review the customer service of their manager!!!!

Went there to sign up but needed to use the bathroom. The representative told me that I couldn't use the bathroom. 01/11o/2024 @11h50. I repeated I am here to sign up. I had all my equipment in my car, was in my work uniform.
Definitely not the gym for me.

I am not satisfied with the service offered by this establishment. I terminated my contract following an exchange with the manager which disgusted me. The manager is condescending and not welcoming at all. Making people believe that her status as manager gives her any power over customers. I made it clear to her that she's not the only one with high status and that she had no idea who she was talking to.
Following a rejected payment, the manager explained to me that she will not let me use the gym, because this is not the first time this has happened. I explained to him that since 2019 I have been coming to this gym and I have never had a problem. I have always paid for my subscription and if there is anything the staff notifies me in a respectful manner. I settle everything in my member area without problem.
She didn't listen to me and pretended to say "hello" or "goodbye" to customers while I was talking to her. She even said to me "Madam, are you finished?", to show me her impatience and lack of respect, telling me to come back with my banking information the next day and that she would not give me access to the gym. She behaves very rudely. Reading other comments, I realize this is a real problem.
After discussion with my bank, this afternoon, they confirmed to me that the Éconofitness system had created a bug on my account. So in the end, my credit card wasn't the problem.
I strongly advise against this establishment as long as they do not reshuffle the staff and review the customer service of their manager.

I have changed location and this Dorval location is by far the best I have seen so far with Econofitness. Even if there are couples of machines and equipments that are out of services , the location hosts more mature people and it’s mostly clean. Staffs are friendly and give good customer services. I just started here couple weeks ago, but will definitely update you if anything changes during my contract duration

The place is great, clean and for mature people. Everyone mind their business, the staffs are helpful and friendly. I prefer this Dorval location Compared to other Éconofitness around and outside Montreal.

Madam, Sir,
I would like to bring to your attention an unpleasant incident that occurred last Thursday in your Econofitness gym. Here are the facts:
I accompanied my sister to your gym and paid for a 24-hour pass for her. The coach at reception assured us that this pass would allow my sister to use the facilities for 24 hours, including the next day. However, to our surprise, when we showed up the next day to use the pass as agreed, the room manager refused to honor the pass.
She had her employee ask us to pay for another pass if we wanted to enter, without giving us the opportunity to discuss the situation or get an explanation. We heard her voice from her office, but she did not come to speak to us or explain the situation to us in a courteous manner.
I find this attitude unacceptable and contrary to the standards of service that we have the right to expect from your establishment. I therefore ask you to please review this situation and take the necessary measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.
I remain at your disposal for any further information and hope for a quick and satisfactory response.

Hi, have been a member since the opening in Dorval. But I have found that the gym is not as good as it once was. Before the pandemic, we had a manager who was always there, friendly, and made sure everything was in order. The staff was friendly, knew the members, and cleaned regularly. After the pandemic…the gym is not the same…the manager is never around, and not helpful at all. There is such a turnover of staff…some don’t do anything at all except sit at the front desk…in the meantime we have no paper to clean the equipment and the gym is dirty (used to be so clean) . And it takes long to repair equipment.

I like this gym but I find the people a little messy, they sweat on the machines and leave without cleaning them....and even if towels are MANDATORY, half of the people don't have them...

I am extremely disappointed by the handling of complaints at Econofitness. I submitted a complaint online regarding a situation with the manager of the Dorval gym, but there is no way to contact upper management directly. Rather than receive a courtesy call to discuss my complaint, I received three confidential calls from people claiming to be representatives of the gym, without ever giving their name, and using private numbers.
Instead of treating my complaint seriously, I was asked questions insinuating that I was harassing the manager, or that they were trying to accuse me of looking up her name, which is absurd. After inquiring about Econofitness policies through other sports centers, I was simply told that my complaint would be processed within 7 days. Without valid reason, the manager closed my access to the gym and made up accusations of harassment to justify closing my account.
If other members have experienced similar situations, I encourage you to share your experiences in the comments on Google. This could help denounce the mismanagement of this manager, whether in Dorval or in other Econofitness gyms.

The only benefit to this spot is the proximity to my home. All other econo sites have additional machines to accommodate large volumes of people doing resistance training. Here there are roughly 40 cardio machines and only 5 of them in use at a time. They can sell 25 of the cardio machines and make room for more weights (DB, EZ and Straight bar), squat and smith machines. I do not appreciate large line ups for a single machine even with rotating in the machine there is still a line up for it. I also do not appreciate people leaving weights on the floor or even on machines for other clients or staff to pick up. There should be a demerit system in place to pay more if they do this.
