Today I had the “displeasure” of having the owner of this Jean Coutu present while I was picking up my monthly meds. While paying for my meds, I asked the cashier if I could speak with a pharmacist about the possibility of my husband and myself having the Shingrix and RSV vaccine done at a later date, as I had questions about the effects they might have with other vaccines we recently had. She didn’t even have the opportunity to turn around and ask someone, when the owner BARKED at her “tell her to call the nurse, and discuss it with her”. Extreme rudeness, we were all left with our mouths open. I had heard he wasn’t pleasant, but this was more than that. If it wasn’t for the rest of the staff at this JC, who are very nice and knowledgeable, I would move my business elsewhere. But thankfully, he is rarely present, so no need for this just yet, but I will consider it. Beware what you ask for, when you see him behind the counter.

Service here was very good. I came in for an emergency usb to c cable and found it rather quickly, along with an Aero bar white chocolate which is rather hard to find in Florida may I add. The young lady behind the counter was very courteous and when I spoke to her in French she answered very nicely and thanked me. If you are in need of most pharmacy type products or quick mart items then this place should suit you fine.

Service usually sub-par. Today, arrived before 21:00 and it was already closed, lights and all. Why bother?

Outside of wait times on the phone when needing to specify refill directions that cannot be done via automated phone refill, i’ve always received excellent service. And to be fair they are constantly busy, i believe overwhelmed even with more than adequate staffing. Their customer facing experiences definitely make for long days and longer servicing delays.I’ve seen some people being very entitled, demanding and nasty with the pharmacy counter. I’m just grateful they’re doing their best to provide and essential service.

There's a young girl still in training who served me, unique name, long curly hair. Very professional, it's so nice to see this in young generation .

My experience has been super, had just one incident with a lady on the phone that scoured me for not having a doctor that just retired, and did not find a replacement yet to fill my prescriptions. She was extremely rude, I did not get her name, but I reported it, and was told this will never happen again.

I was at Jean coutu to consult with the pharmacist because of a medical issue that I’m having and cannot get an appointment at a walk in clinic and my family doctor has no availability’s that are soon so I simply just asked to speak to the pharmacist. Now while I was waiting I heard them all bad mouthing me to each other I was stunned by the level of unprofessionalism that they displayed … wow I cannot believe what I heard… I do not recommend this pharmacy

I called Jean Coutu Dorval for something my husband wanted and talked to a lady named Charlie who was extremely pleasant and polite. And to top it off the owner delivered it. I am extremely happy with the service there.

Overall a good place to shop. I have an issue with their restocking of some products I like. One article I have been checking on line for weeks, always out of stock. PJC Lachine had a count of 6 last week, today 50! Can't be that difficult to obtain.

Very disappointed, received an email to book a flu vacine at Jean Coutu, and when I tried to book said that there are no appointmenrs available. Had to go to Pharmaprix for the 3rd year in a row. I have been with Jean Coutu over 25 years and always have a very hard time to get an apt. I either go the drugstore or try calling and always told they are booked solid.

This is purely a review so that the pharmacist owners give more hours/put more man-power in processing faxes. My doctor has faxed my renewal 2 times, and they faxed him once for the renewal request. Finally 1 month later things are square. This is not at all a problem from my doctor’s end as he responds within minutes to my e-mails.

One of the staff is just very rude. If we order meds for our baby 5days in advance she would complain why it’s too early. Now if we order 1-2days in advance then it would still be a problem because the notice is too short it is frustrating. Each time we ask for delivery it is very stressful having to deal with the staff with attitude. We are always polite and calm but it is too much already.I hope they will speak to their staff and teach them good customer service ethics.

I understand there are a lot of changes and fear going on in the world right now. I understand that people/businesses must take extra precautions, ask questions, and educate themselves on how to live life with the an ongoing pandemic encompassing our daily lives. There are many reliable and informative resources to help navigate your everyday decisions regarding our newly adopted convid-19 lifestyles. Then there are many opposing articles/news outlets that have no substance behind their material that cause fear and persuade individuals to make poor judgements. The latter is what was presented when I attempted to enter THIS particular Jean-Coutu on Saturday April 11th, 2020. At the front door I was asked the now regular questions: Do you have a sore throat? Do you have fever? Do you have a cough?. All my responses were a solid “No.” Then I was asked, “what have you been doing for the past 14 days?” I responded, “I have been working. I’m a nurse.” Without hesitation, the Jean-Coutu employee replied, “I’m sorry, I can’t let you in. I don’t know if you have the virus. You may be asymptomatic but you can still carry it. I can bring out whatever you need to buy, but you have to wait outside. I just can’t let you in for everyone’s safety.” There was no changing this employees mind.I just couldn’t comprehend the idea that even though I checked all right boxes on the covid-19 interview sheet, my profession would seclude me from entering a pharmacy. The level of misinformation that this individual had been given, or the policies the manager had taken upon themselves to implement, was deeply upsetting. I was being refused entry into a pharmacy because my chosen profession (for the last 13 years) licences me to care for the sickest individuals in Montreal. This is not new news. Healthcare workers have been doing this for a VERY long time (and we’re pretty damn good at it too). The level of precaution taken by myself and other healthcare workers, when caring for a POSSIBLE covid-19 patient (not to mention other diseases), is overabundant when compared to what this particular Jean-Coutu manager provides it’s frontline employees: Simple face mask, no face shield, no eye protection, no hair covering, no protective gown, allowing employees to use gloves but touch their cellphones/face/hair with the same gloves, exposing their own jacket/pants/shoes to every customer entering and leaving the front entrance. It’s unfortunate that during these times of apprehension and self-isolation, a company would purposely take steps to segregate individuals who are fighting to help Montreal in its time of need. Thanks for showing your true colours.Oh, the items I wished to purchase that morning were: Easter cards and presents for my twins first Easter. Don’t worry, Pharmaprix had everything I needed at an excellent price.
