I really don’t like the customer service there they don’t bother to help at all and if you return something you get attitude but like sorry it’s Sephora’s policy 🤷🏻♀️ so i order online instead or when i go to Ottawa i go at the Sephora there the employees are so nice and helpful plus the store is squeaky clean and so the testers and they have more stock than Gatineau!!!

Staff is rude doesn’t answer if you don’t speak french. I wanted a colour match to a foundation and i was told someone will be with me, I waited 10 mins no one came so I ended up leaving the store without buying anything. Also most of the Kayali perfumes are empty I cant even smell it in order to buy it! When I asked an employee she said oh they’re empty and it’s been weeks no one wants to change them like I just want to smell the Vanilla one and I am unable to. Management and staff need to do better.

Le service à la caisse est toujours très lent, peu importe le moment où je viens. Par ailleurs, les employés ne devraient pas hésiter à intervenir lorsque des enfants manipulent les produits. Lors du Boxing Day, des enfants couraient partout, les testeurs étaient dans un état déplorable, et ils vaporisaient du parfum un peu partout. Cela donnait une impression de désorganisation totale.

Didn’t found everything I was looking for unfortunately. Lots of shelves were empty, but it’s normal considering it was after the holidays. I remember a few years back the employees were always helpful and friendly. Now the last two time I went in the past few months. No one ever acknowledged me, asking me anything. Most employees went past me without asking if I needed help. I saw most of them talking with each other behind the counter. So many more products I wished to purchase that maybe were in the back or something. I just bought all of that online instead. At least the cashier was kind and courteous.

Went to buy perfume for my girlfriend. Initial cashier was nice and friendly, but she was busy with costumers and then called over another employee to take out the perfume from the protected drawers and ring us up. This second cashier was, from the very beginning, obviously not interested in giving any type of decency to us. Barely spoke, acted like she didn't care about anything. Then, as she rung us up, the total was about 100$ too much. I told her this, and told me "that's the price." with a straight face. I told her that it clearly wasn't and I went to take a picture of the price on the wall (she was unwilling to go) and shortly after corrected her mistake and scanned the right product. She was clearly annoyed throughout the entire interaction. I paid, meanwhile she was avoiding eye contact. The receipt printed, she didn't say a word, didn't look us in the eyes, no "thank you," no smile, nothing. Just an incredibly annoyed look on her face.
Will never come back here again, lol.
I work in costumer service, I know how annoying clients can be and I'm aware of what makes a costumer annoying. We were never mean or entitled to her or anything of the sort.
This is the first google review I have ever written, however I'm doing it on an alt account. This is not a troll, this genuinely happened to me. Next time I need to go to sephora I will definitely go to the one at Rideau instead.

I went to buy my girlfriend a $200 perfume for Christmas. The cashier asked me if I wanted to put the bill on my girlfriend's account. I told her no because it was a gift. She told me that it didn't matter and that she never paid it except the points. will simply be accumulated but she will never be able to know it. She assures me 100% two days later my girlfriend tells me that in her points she sees that a perfume was purchased and that the points were put on her account thanks to the cashier who spoiled a Christmas gift .

The service was terrible. The cashier didn't say hello or have a good day, then when I left, she stared at me. I came on December 5, 2024 around 5 p.m. I hope those responsible will do something about this. I am no longer interested in returning to this rental. I'll go to the one in Rideau.

My girlfriend aksed a question in English, the cashier looked at her like she's speaking alien and started giving attitude. So I gotta drive my queen babygirl to Sephora Ottawa instead of Gatineau. Please hire bilingual staff, you're In Canada and it's 2025 and people still can't speak english bruh. It was the latin/mixed girl with black hair in a bun with glasses, she had a bigger physique. Don't treat people like an inconvenience for not knowing a language, take the L and call a supervisor that speaks english
