Hostel with lots of charm, clean room, comfortable bed. Thanks to Gabriel who is very pleasant and friendly. Poorly soundproofed rooms, but understandable given the age of the building.

We went to the bistro for Valentine's Day dinner. As we didn't have a reservation they only asked to wait a few 10-20 minutes. Half an hour later, we noticed that they were letting people pass before us. When we asked for explanations, they responded in a very rude manner. My girlfriend was furious, but we stayed anyway because there was nothing else around at that time. After dinner I noticed the bill was $10 more and they didn't even apologize for the mistake. All in all, an unpleasant experience that ruined our Valentine's Day. We will never go back there.

Clean room well located. On the other hand, woken up at 6 a.m. by the noise of an employee. No lunch included although it was listed in the description.

We didn't sleep at the inn, but we had dinner there and we were very satisfied. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is very good and plentiful. The service is fast and very friendly.

Our plans over the holidays was to return to the Eastern Township of Quebec to visit friends before going to see family in Montreal. Last year we ate at this location in Knowlton over the New Year so chose to stay at the hotel this year on Dec 27th as it was a good one night stop over.
December 24th we received a call mid afternoon from our friends we were to visit. She had suddenly became very ill. We needed to cancel as we had no where to go for three days before our Montreal visit on Dec 30th.
I rushed home to find the Expedia reservation and call to cancel. The policy stated we could cancel until 3:00 pm December 24th. It was 3:15 pm December 24th.
I quickly contacted Expedia asking them to please make the call to the hotel to see if they would accommodate our request of only 15 minutes late due to an emergency situation.
They called. The hotel refused to accommodate. I asked if we could change the date to the 29th instead. The answer was no.
I then tried calling the hotel direct. No one answered.
I left a message asking for a return call. I was sure there must have been a misunderstanding and we could work something out. December 26th and no return phone call.
I called again on December 27th asking they please call me as we would not be arriving that evening and would like to discuss possible options, even considering a gift certificate for December 2025.
It is now January 3rd, 2025 and I still no curtesy call nor any form of customer service to either apologize or attempt to accommodate.
This could have been an annual visit for us but, unless someone chooses to make restitution in some form, we will not be back. Should a call finally come through and something positive come from it, I will post again to let you know they actually are for real and care and retract my post.

Came to town for a wedding this weekend. The two women running the reception desk and cleaning were a huge help especially as we took up a lot of space and time for pre wedding photos/as we got ready. Room was comfortable and had everything I needed.
I left before I could say thank you for your kind compliments and checking in with me to see if I needed anything. Would stay again

Given the age of the property, it is well maintained, clean and fresh. It's a very comfortable country Inn close to many amenities.

The room was very humid (e.g. bath towels did not dry), window air conditioner very noisy, hair dryer broken). I do not recommend this hotel.

Bed bugs on room number 1 indeed. Woke up with several bugs filled with blood on my pillow. I brought a dead bug to the front desk and they said this had never happened before. Only to find out that it actually did happen 2 weeks ago and they were notified. Frustrating to have to deal with clothes and bags clean up. Stay away from!

Be aware of bedbugs! Room #1 was infested with bedbugs on July 29, 2024. We noticed them around 1 AM and had to leave in the middle of the night. I left a note at the reception desk and sent an email with photos, but I have not received any response. I also called, but they are not answering my calls (blocked my number). Terrible experience!
Rooms: Room #1 was infested with bedbugs on July 29, 2024.
Nearby activities: Douglass Beach is a nice place to visit.

vintage inn, real generosity of the hoteliers, a cassoulet better than in many places in Toulouse, cuisine made by the owner and his fine team, well done,

Picturesque and enchanting place, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. They accept dogs without problem (we went with our Australian Shepherd). The place is very pretty for taking walks and visiting.

When we arrived we were not given the correct room but we were accommodating and accepted a smaller room. After we checked out we were accused of smoking in the room and setting off a fire alarm even though we didn't smoke. The owner hung up on us after his accusation even when we tried to explain that we don't smoke. If you want to experience emotions during your stay, treat yourself otherwise you will find better elsewhere.
