  Everything here is very cheap—sometimes just a third of the prices at Home Depot or Rona! I was lucky I did a big renovation project when this store happened to be the closest to my home, which saved me a ton of money. My wife jokes that I'm practically a shareholder of Canac—hahaha!

  Review title: Dangerous product and poor customer service at Canac – Warning!
  
  I recently bought a carport from Canac, and it was a nightmare. During strong winds, the carport collapsed, causing serious damage to my neighbor's car and revealing significant structural weaknesses. It is clear that this product represents a major safety risk – it could have seriously injured or even killed anyone nearby at the time of the collapse.
  
  I contacted Canac and spoke to the manager, Marcel, to request a return and refund due to the danger of their product. However, despite explaining the safety risks and financial damages, Marcel and Canac customer service showed no concern or responsibility. They refused to take back the product or offer a solution.
  
  To potential customers: be warned. Canac sells potentially deadly products and fails to take responsibility when safety issues are reported. If you care about your safety and avoiding financial losses, do not shop at Canac.
  
  Given Canac's refusal to act responsibly, I will report this matter to consumer protection authorities and take legal action so that other people do not have to endure the same experience.
  
  Bottom line: Avoid Canac if you value quality, safety and decent customer service.

  I went to Canac La Prairie at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday October 23 because I live nearby.
  
  I walked over to the lady at Hardware customer service, a blonde, to ask her where I could find steel brackets, and I showed her a photo from Amazon.
  
  Her first comment, in a negative tone, was that they wouldn't be as pretty, but that she would show me.
  
  Then, once there, she says they don't have any. I ask her if she’s sure, and she says, “Yes, you won’t find it anywhere.” I tell her that that doesn't make any sense, that they should have some, because it's a pretty standard product, and she tells me: "you won't find any here."
  
  I walk away and have the idea of ​​looking on the Canac website. To my great surprise, they are there, exactly the same. I go back to see her and ask her: “Whose website is this?” You said you didn’t have them,” then she replies that they’re not the same.
  
  I tell her that they are very close, that she could have shown me similar options, suggested alternatives, isn't that her job?
  
  Anyway, I went to Rona and bought them there. Very disappointed, because I always go to Canac.
  
  One negligent employee can certainly sink a business slowly but surely. And yes, when she told me they didn't have them, I asked to speak to a supervisor. She told me that there weren't any, that they were only there in the morning, and that in any case, they couldn't do anything, that it was the owners of Canac who made this decision. .
  
  I told him that this doesn't make any sense, that talking to a supervisor is so that he can inform management that they should have this type of product in stock.
  
  But like I mentioned, they definitely have them, it's just a careless employee who turned a simple situation into a bad experience.
