I did not enjoy my experience here. It has a foul smell across the store, different smells too which means each area has rotting items. Fridges were broken at the time of my visit and leaking all over the floors for a long period of time forcing the store to place cardboard in front of them to ensure safety. Overall I would say this store is not clean. The fish/meat area emitted a foul smell. Many conservable items had a lot of dust on top of them. The fruits and vegetables looked fresh however, in essence, all items with a good rotation are fantastic.

Highly recommend to other Mamas of young kids.
Fairly certain this store is owned or partially owned by a woman as it is TOTALLY adapted to parents with babies or toddlers. They offer special parking spots for families which closer to the door. They offer both Car seat strollers and Toddler car strollers. Most importantly though, I’ve twice had my little guy crying in the store to see the staff open up a new cash for me to get me out the door faster.
I really appreciate the attention they bring to families.
Thank you

Mouldy ginger, often. Not just once.
One year later, mouldy tomatoes.

The cleanliness is superb, and the store is well-stocked. However, my complaint is with the laziness of the staff. I purchased a few items and went to a regular cashier to check them out. There was an error with the price. I asked if it was supposed to scan at $2.99 instead of $3.99, but the cashier told me no and didn't even bother to call for a price check. I went at a time when it wasn't busy—no lines and no one at the self-checkout—but they still refused to do a price check. I eventually had to remove the item because it was scanned incorrectly. The cashier called the manager for help to remove the item, which took about five minutes. Three other employees came to help. I kindly asked them to also check the price, but now surrounded by the cashier, the manager, and two other employees, not one of them—absolutely none—wanted to go check the price.

As an Anglo who lives in Dorval and has made the boycott of Loblaws permanent, Metro Lachine has become a new part of my monthly routine — and I welcome it
I love the array of choices available as a singleton. From fresh produce to fish and meats, I can find serving sizes made for me
They participate in the Food Hero program, which I depend on to make my bills affordable
The store is brilliantly bilingual and physically accessible. There’s been disabled parking available whenever I have gone and they leave the aisles wide and easy to navigate
Finally, staff is friendly and helpful

I'm in the process of abandoning the iga for the metro. Much more room to do our shopping. More attractive fruit and vegetable section.

It looks like it's new, it's clean. It's worth the detour. Good marketing but almost all the products are much more expensive than elsewhere. I love self-service checkouts. It should have just that with all the same options in all crates.
