“Honestly, it's hard not to give 5 stars. We pay a good, even excellent price for something that we would pay twice as much elsewhere for the same quality. Seasonal decorations are generally very beautiful, there's everything (very cheap, very chic, classics and new things). There are small sub-brand biscuits or chocolates, you have to do a bit of trial and error but there are some that are as good as the originals. It’s always clean, really better tidy than 15 years ago… ok I rarely go a month without going there.
My only problem is ecological: everything is packaged, or almost, in disposable plastic. I'm not complaining about the trash that's going to break and end up in the dump, you just can't buy them. And there is really some stock (Tupperware, storage basket, kitchen equipment, etc.) that lasts a long time without wear! But the excess packaging there… and the number of disposable items… it’s sad!!”

“Today was a shopping day worthy of a review! I was behind in all of my supplies and needed two carts full of basic items for my kitchen and picnics.

I took my time in the store for over 3 hours, and nobody bothered me, or made me feel like I was stealing something. That is a really good feeling!

I have been recovering from a broken back and so I am slow but I got it done. Everything is always neatly organized. Employees are always busy.

Many employees are the same employees that they had seven years ago when I first arrived in Quebec City. Since I had not been in the store for over a year, it was really nice to see familiar faces.

Everything I needed on my list, and yes I had a list ? was easy to find.

I had to get a second cart! The male cashier was not bilingual either. But he was able to assist me so one cart was safe while the other went shopping with me again.

When I finally finished all of my shopping and I really good mood, I went to my other cart to line up. There were only two cashiers available, but that was plenty. There were no long lineups.

I was surprised to see the self-serve check out was gone. But happy as well. I really needed some help with these two carts full of small items.

I was able to communicate with the male cashier, and asked him if it was best to go to him or to the lady working beside him. I knew the lady beside him was a very efficient cashier. I wouldn't doubt it if she wasn't the supervisor. Because I recognized her and she is very efficient.

But doesn't speak a word of English ?

It did not matter. We were able to get this done in very good time. She was organized and helpful.

At the end she went the extra mile in watching my things while I skipped next door before calling a taxi.

When I returned 10 minutes later she called a taxi for me.

I can tell she is happy. And she makes her customers happy.

It is these little things in life we don't pay attention to, but as a senior who is recovering from a stroke and other issues, I am very appreciative and give 10 . ✨♥️ If I could.”
