“Very good butcher shop, the meat is good quality, the staff is very knowledgeable and will always advise you and tell you where their meat is sourced from. The prices are fair and a lovely touch is that you can also buy a variety of local products including a nice variety of hot sauces!”

“We went to SAQ Sélection-De Maisonneuve - City Councillors located at 425, Boulevard De Maisonneuve on Old Montreal. The selection was pretty good, although we were looking for a wine we were served on the VIA Rail Train (CreekSide - Sauvignon Blanc) and they did not have it. ??
We were looking for a magnum and was shocked to find out they don’t make magnums for inexpensive bottles of wine ($30 and under) they ONLY make magnums (1.5 litre) for $75 bottles and more (up to $300 for a magnum!! It had better come with a sommelier for that price, just sayin!!).
Overall, the magnum experience was a little rich for our tourism budget so we settled on a $20 bottle of Pinot Grigio (okay maybe 2 bottles … well, it might have been 4 - final count!). Cheers ??”

Located on Nuns' Island, just at the foot of the Samuel de Champlain Bridge, you can access it very easily and the branch is very rarely busy. If you are looking for specific products, I recommend that you call the branch in advance to ensure availability in store. Also New stuff for 2022 the 2015 Brunello di Montalcino & A 2015 Gran Reserva Marques de Riscal both Super Highly Rated Got my Sassicia's and Tiganello's!!! Yaa!! April27 2022 got a Nice Chateau Arnault Haut-Medoc 2012.Just got some Really Good!!! Gran Reserva's an Imperial 2012&Montecillo 2011 May 17/2022& then I got some BORDEAUX & A Chianti! ALSO A REALLY NICE SPANISH WINE ALTAR 2010!!, And here for October 14 are 3 from Wine Spectators top 100 Wines of the Year # 23 a Brunello WS 97 , a Malbec #51 and a White Savoi . We will See if we agree with Rating! Don't Agree at all with Brunello( Poggio Landi) WS 97 Rating at all !! At the start of the year it was Rated as a 93 by most of the Wine Rating Community!! Then part way through the year WS changed their 93 to a 97 Rating??Got a Carpinet Chianti with a WS 95 Rating here again we shall see( A really beautifully Crafted Chianti but for me needs at least 10 to maybe 20years before it is Ready or approachs it's potential?). Good house though! Got a Capraia chianti Reserva WS 94 from a Great Year!This upon drinking with a nice Prime Rib Steak and some Gorgonzola Truffle cheese is a Really nice high quality chianti!! Now a LL Sestane Amarone 2018!! And a 2017 Zenato Amarone! And a Pinot Noir for Christmas Turkey!plus a 2015 Imperial Gran Reserva&a Caparrzo Brunello for New Years! July 12 2023 Mixed Bag! The 2018 Chateau Ramaforts are in!”
