Auberge du Marchand is a gorgeous little hotel with a convenient on-site restaurant and store. The location is perfect, right on Chaleur Bay, and close to a grocery store, bakery, and gas station. The rooms are small but clean and beautiful, recently remodeled, with great A/C, a good TV, a comfy bed, a strong shower, and beautiful art. The bilingual staff is friendly, sweet, and very helpful. The amazing restaurant downstairs is highly recommended, with a nice veranda dining room. It offers great service and pleasantly refined dishes with great quality vegetables and amazingly fresh meals, including a great breakfast. They also sell food products like salmon candy. Guests highly recommend staying and eating here, calling it the best place in the whole Gaspe region.

Did not stay at the Auberge, but had dinner at their restaurant, which we quite enjoyed.
Nice veranda dining room, great service, and pleasantly refined dishes.
I would definitely eat there again.

First of all, my bed had the most comfortable mattress that I've slept in, probably in the last 5 years! I even took the time to pull off the covers to see what it was. Don't come to this town if you're on a diet! Great food everywhere especially the breakfast they have on site. Highly recommend!
