This company should just sell furniture and cushions
This company is absolutely incapable of delivering projects as minor as an awning or a gazebo. Their incompetence is exceptional and they don't even blame themselves.
They are selling products they do not own and the concept of maintaining promised deadlines does not exist either.
I went to see the city garden in September 2023 to obtain the dimensions of an awning and have the anchors and electricity prepared. This went quite well and we agreed on a price and size. The work was carried out by my contractor as requested by jardin de ville.
In February, I tried to sign the contract but surprise, the awning existed on the price list but not in reality. What followed were 2 months of discussions where no one understood each other because Jardin de Ville does not visit a site without signing a contract. You therefore have to buy something without knowing if it is currently possible to install it. The concept of construction submission seems to be beyond them.
At the beginning of April, I managed to convince them that we would have eternal discussions if they did not come and I had a visit from their project manager a few days later. He quickly convinced me not to get an awning and directed me to a much more interesting product. In addition, this product was available as a demo in one of their stores, therefore cheaper. He also showed me options that increased my cost but which perfectly met my needs. I was in heaven and told myself that my ordeal was over. 2 days later we signed a contract and I made a first deposit.
Since then, I have been told that I forgot to sign documents that were never sent to me, and I have been given dates that are never respected. All reasons are good for nothing to happen. I now expect to have this project completed by early summer 2025.
I found it easier to build an in-ground swimming pool which required the felling of 40 trees and the complete leveling of a plot of land than to install a simple pergola.

Tried to order some furniture from outside Quebec and Ontario. The service was really horrible. It takes hours for anyone to respond and then they don't actually do anything. They asked repeatedly for a ship to address and never got around to providing a quote. It's fine if you don't want to sell outside your home market, but you should just say so rather than pretending you'll provide a quote in 5 days and then nothing.

We wanted to buy a 3rd outdoor stool. In a month and a half I made 2 requests online. 2 emails. 4 calls in store. No news. Half the time we say we'll call you back and the other half no return, period. On the other hand, I was called back to tell me to go get 2 tables on which I had made deposits, tables which we had already gone to recover last year.
