I stopped in when I happened to walk past while visiting MTL for the first time, and was feeling very unwell due to travel fatigue etc; the staff listened to what I was experiencing and helped me find just the right supplements for my needs and budget. Without their kind attention I would have been alot worse off for the remainder of my trip

I really like this grocery store and it's usually a pleasant shopping experience but the last two times I went in there was a male employee that had his mask under his nose or was not wearing it. It would be nice if staff could show the same consideration and respect as customers and wear their masks properly instead of behaving like they're above the law and don't care. It's not a lot to ask.

This place is unbelievable, not only they have a large variety of products, but they have the best kind of brands. The selection of the products is their biggest strength, and the costumes service is flawless.

The staff is always friendly and polite and follows the safety regulations. The store is well stocked with everything you could need for those who you are health conscious and like organic and free-range (meats, veggies, eggs, etc.)

True healthy nutrition store; a rare occurrence. Great selection. Go with your own knowledge; the staff is very friendly but could improve on their expertise for better advice.

I'm lucky to live close, so I'm able pass by often. I've been getting into the habit of buying whatever produce they have stocked that day. Small selection, but always excellent quality. You get what you pay for, and living alone, I buy just what I need. It's become my fave place to pick up a few groceries. Great apothecary too with an assortment of skincare, vitamins and other fun stuff. Staff is always kind and knowledgeable. This is what 'buying local' looks like.

When I first moved to the Mile End, I got the impression from others that Bio Terre was a place only rich people shopped. Having lived here for years, and being a regular customer, I've learned that while, yes, it's no discount grocery store, there are decent sales and many items are reasonably-priced for the quality. Moreover, while the staff are all very professional and well-spoken and used to fancier customers than myself coming in, I still usually feel welcome. Occasionally there will be a negative experience here, but it's usually due to some weird, entitled customer, and not usually the staff. The store has some excellent products, though the fruit and vegetable section has always been sub-par (but it has improved over the years). There could be more than only-frozen fish, there could be more meat -- but it's a tiny store so what can they do? I think the biggest improvement they could feasibly make, beyond a bit more continued effort in the veggie section, would be to put some beer in the cold section instead of having it all warm, and also being more careful with the dates on them, as often they are expired (including light-hued beers, which generally are considered not so good more than 3 months past their fabrication date).
