Excellent after-sales serviceWhen can we best measure the quality of customer service? After the sale. Before, the company has something to gain, it has every interest in smiling, being considerate and attentive. It’s afterwards, especially when a problem arises, that we really know who we’re dealing with. Exactly, a problem, I had one recently. And I must say that the Bubbles team handled the situation in a way that commands admiration.By problem, I mean the return of a smelly luxury coat. As this is not a common situation, I thought I would have to embark on some difficult negotiations. Because finally, judging a smell, isn’t it a little subjective? And to speak of a “problem” isn’t that forcing the point? No, not when the smell in question is the improbable marriage of a chemical brine and the bottom of the stomach. No, not when hanging an item of clothing for three or four days in your hall closet earns the coats already there an all-expenses-paid trip to the cleaners. At my expense, of course.When I reported the matter to Clémentine and Romain, not only did they believe me, but they assured me that they would do what was necessary to quickly arrange an exchange or refund, at my convenience. Such a mark of trust and such support really impressed me. In fact, they accompanied me throughout the process, not hesitating to contact the manufacturer so that they would be quick to satisfy me. They both gave me extraordinary service.For those who are curious, the manufacturer is Nobis. Do a search with the words “Nobis” and “smell”, you will understand. In recent weeks, three other people have reported a similar problem. It's starting to do a lot.The solution I favored was an exchange, because apart from the smell, I loved everything about the coat I had just gotten. Pressured by the Bubbles staff, Nobis sent me a new coat. But trust is fragile, and I had serious apprehensions. Found, unfortunately: they sent me one which must have been from the same lot as the first, and therefore exuding the same smell. Misery... To hell with the exchange, I demanded a refund.Be careful, I love Nobis products. I find them well designed, well cut, with frankly impressive quality and attention to detail. Besides, I already own a Nobis coat, which smells fresh and clean like the first day. I believe I am in a good position to assess whether or not one of their articles meets the very high standards that usually characterize them.Will I repurchase a Nobis coat one day? I would very much like. But if I try again next fall, confident that Nobis has identified and resolved the problem, what will I encounter? A 2024 coat that smells good (just normal, that would be perfect) or a disgusting piece of clothing from the 2023 vintage that hasn't been completely sold out? Until I'm sure, I think I'll abstain.So. Clémentine, Romain, thank you once again, you were admirable! The Bubbles store lost a sale, but they gained a customer for life. So this is goodbye.
