Complexe Desjardins is a modern, clean, and spacious commercial and financial centre located in the most vibrant sector of the city, at the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. It is situated in a centric area across from Place des Arts, near the Palais des congrès, and is a perfect starting point for exploring Montreal or the underground city. The complex is architecturally pleasing, featuring a huge water fountain, a glass elevator, and colourful chairs. It is wheelchair accessible and has many exits. The mall offers a variety of retail shops and restaurants, with around 80 boutiques and restaurants. It is not a mega shopping destination for clothes, focusing more on everyday needs with basics like a supermarket, pharmacy, liquor store, and various boutiques. There is a big food court with lots of options, described as your best bet when tired. The vast public plaza hosts presentations, shows, or exhibits for over 200 days a year. It is especially noted for its magnificent Christmas decorations. While generally appreciated for its diversity, some customer service experiences may vary.
