Hello everyone, I use to be former employee at Dollarama centre i would like to express my feelings about my working there. Firstly there is two managers one of them is able to manage the store midly but the other managers if you ask him something he will say go ask the other managers always, he also doesn’t where his product are when a client come, and many employees informed me that he touched certain parts of there body, and the organization so horrible, and a quick note about the two managers they doesn’t know how to speak English. Scheduling managing is horrible as well the shop open at 9:00 and they put one employee at 8:00 to count the cash register and then they will call someone at like 8:05 so they can come to count the cash register as it’s required two employee to counted. Overall it’s horrible place to apply

@everyone I be honest tho even after I'm gonna leave this place just to let you guys know that if u wanna apply there do never ever apply again bc those two owners that I wont gonna mention arent organised with the schedule and the work assignments and even tho they kicked out one by one in short periods of time bc of a purpose of not being there or for no reason they kicked out. For real it depress I suggest u guys to apply somewhere else better than there! And I forgot to mention it dirty the place, too many stealers and the owner is sloppy doesn't take shower a day and two face so yea basically that !

Good Dollarama, but such a bad corporate citizen. It's always full of garbage (packaging of what they sell) in front and in their parking lot and it flies to the neighborhood. As well dangerous actions taping the reflectors of the protection poles (see picture). I already had to call 911 because their plower ripped off the gaz pipe! And now again... sad to see

I am torn on whether to give this store a one or five star review. My friend recently witnessed a man steal items from the store and then sit outside for a few minutes. When my friend informed the employees, the first one shrugged it off and said there was nothing they could do. The second employee directed my friend to speak with the same unhelpful employee. While I understand that stealing is a difficult issue to tackle, the store's lack of response and follow-up was disappointing. I would recommend this store with caution.

Today my husband and I went to the store to buy something. The manager accused my husband of stealing the gloves, but when I showed proof of the purchase on Aliexpress, the manager yelled at us loudly and called the police. He said "get out of here". It was very rude and not polite. The police were confused by this situation, they let us go. The manager didn't even apologize to us. He is very aggressive and dangerous. Please be careful in this store. I don't recommend it.

Good evening! In this store, my friend faced xenophobia from the manager of this store! This is very scary for me and my family as we went to Canada because it is a free and modern country.

This Dollarama was just a block from my AirBnB, so I decided to go in and make some value purchases....The store is very well lit, clean and neatly organized. Dollarama is a Canadian dollar store retail chain headquartered in Montreal. Since 2009 it is Canada's largest retailer of items for five dollars or less. Dollarama has over 1400 stores and has a presence in every province of Canada; Ontario has the most stores. If I compare to the US stores, I would say it's like a Dollar General or Family Dollar, where most things are less than $5. But it's not like a Dollar Tree, where everything is $1.25 or less. This particular store is in the Pointe St Charles section of Montreal, steps from the Charlevoix metro station. A bit of history on the Dollarama store chain...The first all-dollar store was founded in Montreal in 1910 by Salim Rassy, a Lebanese immigrant, whose name became Rossy. His son George took over the retailer in 1937 and led the company until his death in 1973 when grandson Larry Rossy assumed leadership of it when it had 20 stores. The discount retailer grew to 44 stores by 1992 which until then operated under the name Rossy S Inc. (not to be confused with Rossy Michael, a similar chain founded in 1949 by another son of Salim Rassy. That year, Larry Rossy opened the first Dollarama at the shopping centre "Les promenades du St-Laurent" in Matane. By the late 1990s, Dollarama had become by far the primary source of revenue for the Rossy family. As such, the Rossy S chain was discontinued by the turn of the new millennium, with all of its stores either closed or converted into Dollarama locations. After converting all the locations to the dollar store concept, The number of stores in October 2021 was 539 in Ontario, 379 in Québec, 134 in Alberta, 111 in British Columbia, 42 in New Brunswick, 41 in Manitoba, 40 in Nova Scotia, 40 in Saskatchewan, 25 in Newfoundland and Labrador, and 5 in Prince Edward Island. The company announced that it would open 700 new locations across Canada (including a few replacements for some of the Great Canadian Dollar Store locations) in the aforementioned provinces as well as their first store in the Yukon Territory.
