Well,this review is long overdue, however at least I can give an honest review after having the futon for 9 months:)We (my son and I) were looking to buy a futon and luckily came upon this place!The service was exceptional. The music was even good..lol.. The sales people we very nice , helpful, honest and professional. We purchased a futon with the works..cover,high quality mattress and pillows. There was a little imperfection on one of the arms that was addressed and taken care of immediately.My son has been using it a his main bed and sofa and it's held up well.Hats off to Christian who took his time explaining everything and giving us his recommendations. He didn't try to sell is the most expensive futon just one that would suit our needs. I highly recommend this place. You will definitely find something that suits your needs here!

Extremely satisfied with the quality of the products. After using a Futon Soleil as my main bed for 7 years, I changed to a Boréale mattress and I am just as satisfied. I am proud to buy high quality Quebec products. Thank you Futon d’or!

Impeccable customer service and always with a smile, we are kept informed throughout the process, the quality of the products is unbeatable in addition to being a 100% Quebec product, we bought a shiatsu mattress to serve as a pillowtop on our mattress. base (I've been doing this for over 20 years) and we changed mattress sizes and needed a new one and are delighted with it. The delivery man was kind and courteous and received in less than a week

Very satisfied with the mattress purchased for my daughter. The quality is obvious, the futon is soft without being too soft, it is a nice thickness and the price was very reasonable. In addition, delivery of the mattress (from Montreal to Gatineau) only took a few days because the store had one in stock. I ordered on a Friday and the futon was at my door the following Tuesday! All employees I dealt with for ordering or delivery were helpful and efficient.

Quality , customer service and quick delivery is what you get from Futon d'orOrdered an Organic Buckwheat Pillow with Pillow fabric: Wool-quilted Cotton , which is essential when it comes to buckwheat pillows , the wool quilted cotton adds softness to the pillow and as well it mutes the sound of buckwheat which some ppl like me can hear when my ear is pressed to the pillow, that extra soft layer is essential and it's only about 25% more $.Been using buckwheat pillows for over a decade and I cant go back to regular pillows, my old pillow 6+years needed an upgrade and Futon d'or was the only placethat provides wool-quilted cotton layer, thanks ?Spoke to a sales person regarding a change to my order, was offered a good solution and a custom adjustment to my item.Big thanks to the Futon d'or seamstresses for doing such a pro job ..Support local business

Bought a futon and frame, very happy with the purchase. Both made in Québec, and yet less expensive than similar products I could find online from larger retailers. High quality, local, and for a great price - what more could you want? Definitely recommend.

I'm getting the best sleep of my life on a eucalyptus+cotton shikibuton and tatami mats from Futon d'or! The staff were incredibly patient with all my questions, they helped me fix a last minute mistake in my order, and everything arrived quickly and well-packaged. I love that it can be stowed away during the day (currently just stacked in the corner as pictured), and the tatami feel delightful to sit and stand on.The shikibuton does also zip open, so in theory you could refurbish it with local materials if needed, though I'll probably just contact them to purchase a new one when the time comes.I cannot recommend them enough!

Owner refused business due to deposit refund during COVID. Business took full deposit ($4,000) and didn't deliver due to manufacturing process bottleneck for 7 months, which is understandable. I asked if the products are actually produced, owner said no, therefore I asked for a refund so I can look for other products. Called recently about manufacturing time and planning new purchase, owner refused to serve me quoting the deposit refund experience.Re: owners' response: I acknowledge it was a difficult time for manufacturers, but it is also difficult for purchaser as well who had put up full-amount cash. The lead-time in advertisement was 3 months, I gave them double the time extensions and I was told that there is no expected time I would get my products towards the end. It is one thing to have a long wait, but another to have people holding on to your cash and no products in sight (I operate a business too and during COVID I returned deposit on items I cannot fulfill within a reasonable time, by the owner's logic, he would have hold on to your deposit even if he goes bankrupt. It's called counterparty risks control when a business cannot get inventories but are still taking deposits.). In addition, I made sure that no custom products were actually made before the refund. I did not post a negative review back then due to the respect I am given to the business since I know it is something that either side don't have control over, however I see that this is one sided.
