G & D Supermarket is a semi-basement grocery store located in downtown Montreal's Chinatown, accessible through the Nouilles de Lan Zhou - Noodle Shop. While the entrance can be difficult to find due to the crowd at the noodle shop, the supermarket offers a varied selection of Asian foods, including fresh fish, seafood, vegetables, spices, and a wide range of sweets. Customers appreciate the availability of unique ingredients and products like ginger candies and lunar year cookies. However, some shoppers have noted that the store is relatively small and lacks variety compared to other international grocery stores. Additionally, prices tend to be higher, and the cleanliness of the store could be improved. G & D also features a noodle restaurant on the first floor, where fresh noodles are made to order and come in different thicknesses, along with three soup options at a good price. Overall, G & D Supermarket is a convenient option for those seeking Asian groceries in the area, despite some areas for improvement.
Good variety of snacks. Customer service was mediocre.

I guess it’s my bad for assuming and not checking but other than that, good selection... read full comment

Inexpensive and great variety. Jasmine green tea in tin and 100 bags. Pig bones for stewing.
