Such lovely reliable, people and a neighbourhood and community serving garage. Never trying to do work that doesn’t need to be done, reasonably priced for their time and work. Have gone here since moving to the neighbourhood, and I would never use anyone else.

Amazing service! Super friendly and fast. I went today because my tire had a screw in it and my check engine light just turned on.
despite there being a sign in the window saying "sorry - no new customers" (they're super busy, and I understand why!) the owner was right there, I started to walk away but he asked what I needed and they got everything done within an hour! I was honestly shocked. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. 100% will go back (if they'll take me again!).

Updating to add that George Garage has now been my trusted mechanic for 25+ years. Always friendly, honest, and great value. Couldn't ask for a better garage. The namesake founder, George, would be proud of his son Alan and grandson Simon for making it a 3 generation business.
Noticed the "check engine" light was lit on my car, brought it into George Garage just after 7am as they were opening. Within 30 minutes I got a call informing me that there was nothing serious or in need of repair. Honest and straightforward. That has been my experience for 20 years and through 5 cars.
Looking at Amélie Fischer's review (and other low ratings), I have to wonder what happened and what was expected, as she provides no actual details and accuses the garage of running a scam. Few businesses are as honest as George Garage. Of the 5 cars we have trusted to George, never have I felt they took advantage of me or my wife, in spite of two cars that were "regulars" due to their age. They identify what needs to be done quickly, and suggest future repairs, but they never do unnecessary work--only what is needed to get you back on the road ASAP.

Everytime I go over last 5 years he is always honest and never tries to take more money than is needed. Often saying ´you can wait for that a few years things look good’ or dont worry about that you don’t need a new one unless you want it to look shiney’ etc. Never wait more than a couple days.

My original review from 2021 is below. I have been coming to George Garage for nearly 5 and a half years now (since 2018) for regular tire and oil changes, but also for other maintenance and repair work, and they have taken great care of two of my cars. Most recently I brought my car in to get its rear brakes serviced, and I mentioned to them how I heard a rattling noise from the back of my car. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue (a broken coil spring) and had a replacement ordered and ready within the next day. Excellent service, very fair pricing, and most of all, the people are genuinely very kind and approachable!

Following a really bad experience with my old car mechanic, I have been bringing my car here for the past 3 years for general work such as tire and oil changes, and it has always been a pleasant experience. More recently I had to get my car towed in on a Friday to get its starter changed, and by Monday it was ready and running. Al and co are seriously great people, and I definitely recommend George Garage!

Went in for an oil change (90$) and asked for a quote on a rear light. The garage called me with a 300$ quote for the light and upsold me on new front brakes for 400$ for a total of 700$ (material & labour). Given the garage good reviews, I decided to go forward with the repairs.
At the time of the pick up, they presented me with a bill of 960$, with labour clearly marked as a separate line. Despite my protests, I had to pay the bill to get my car.
