In my opinion best Bengali grocery store in Montreal. Especially, the fish prices are cheap which I love about it. The store is clean and well organized. The owner and the staff are very nice and communicate properly which is rare in Bengali grocery stores.

Wow, what a hidden gem! I stumbled upon this little South Asian grocery store just a stone's throw away from Metro Charlevoix in downtown Montreal, and I'm so glad I did! Despite its small size, this store packs a punch when it comes to variety and selection. From exotic spices to grains, to vegetables, frozen imported fish to fresh meat, and even Bangladeshi snacks - they've got it all!
But what truly sets this store apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to ensure you find what you need. And the best part? The prices are incredibly reasonable!
As someone who craves and cooks authentic Bangladeshi cuisine from time to time, I'm thrilled to have found this treasure trove. I'll be back regularly to satisfy my cravings and stock up on essentials. Al Raji Market is one of the best markets I know. There is a great wealth of fresh foods: fruits, vegetables, exotic fruits that come from all over the world. I highly recommend you try their great mango variety!! There are some sweet ones and others a little more bitter, but all delicious! During the summer a little more, but always there are all kinds of mangoes: which come from Mexico, Dominican Republic, Bangladesh and India! (My favorite is Indian mango) You will find everything there!! There are also very comfortable prayer mats and miraculous skin care, not just food. A completely halal market too! You can buy fresh meat and fish cut in front of you, for you! It's a small market, but it has a lot of potential!! There is Mexican, African and Bengali merchandise, but also lots of other stuff that suits everyone!
