They did an excellent job of reorganizing and rejuvenating the supermarket!

Much better than before with a great variety of products! The only downside is the automatic checkouts which will eventually replace humans...

Yellow cart bumper cars. No more hand baskets makes the place ridiculous at busy hours

Maxi replaced a provigo which was there for many years. I find it a lot cheaper, has a greater number of items, and is is definitely an improvement.

Finally, they converted from a Provigo! The prices over there are much better and make more sense. I went during the renovations and everything was very accessible, which is nice.Things are easy to find.. The quality of fresh fruits and vegetables is good, what you would expect from a discount grocery store. I've had better experience than Super C.

The absolute worst. The prices are insane. Any time between 4 and 7pm you could be looking at a line for the checkout that is as long as the aisles. Four self checkouts and two cashier checkouts active at 5pm. Forget it. Also, they have started to bring in specialty products that local smaller groceries sell in the neighborhood and undercutting their prices in an attempt, ostensibly, to put them out of business. They'll never get our money. I would encourage you to find a way to not give them any of yours, either.

Atrocious is an understatement. My 3 biggest concerns are:1. The infrastructure is horrendous. The actual store layout has vastly improved since renovations. Some of the aisles are too narrow, but the outer portions of the store are way better to navigate and are set up efficiently. Where the infrastructure breaks down is they don't have enough supply of many products as well as staff to meet the demand. There is no reason that at 10 am on the very first day of a flyer promotion that they don't have the chicken and beef advertised. There is no reason someone should have to stand in line for 30 minutes to pay because only 2 checkouts are open (with 4 members doing nothing or standing at customer service to make it worse). It's not costco. The long lines are unacceptable.2. The quality and prices are criminal. $6 for a half pint of raspberries, $5 for 473mL cooking cream, and $12 for a block of feta are just a few of the items they feel are priced appropriately. $1.50, $2.50, and $7 would be appropriate even with inflation... but this has nothing to do with inflation. What also has nothing to do with inflation is the quality. Team members clearly aren't doing any quality control with produce. I've now, on several occasions, seen fruits and vegetables completely covered in mold and fungus in plain sight.3. There are toxic team members. In particular, one of their managers, Johanne, is one of the most unpleasant people I've ever dealt with and on many occasions over the last 3 years I've gone here she's not only been rude to me (plus refused to speak English) she regularly treats team members horribly. My girlfriend and I have seen how poorly she speaks to others. There are some lovely team members in the deli and cashier departments whom I make sure to mostly deal with because they're helpful and kind. There are many others on top of the one manager, though, who are either unpleasant or wildly incompetent.Overall, it could be an amazing store. I'm lucky that I've worked in grocery stores before and know how to get the most savings, and I am only slightly affected by these issues. I'm also lucky that I work from home, and delays don't change my day drastically. For people on fixed incomes, this price gouging is highway robbery. For busy parents who need to be in and out of the grocery store, the wait times are stressful. For people (like me) who cherish being able to have a pleasant experience while shopping, it's frustrating to see such little value placed on the consumer.I wholeheartedly believe this could be an amazing store, but some major changes would need to be made.

The store is not fully restocked since the conversion but some products and brands are definitely no longer available. Also be aware that as of today all the ice cream pints are soft and unfrozen, despite being in what look like new freezers. (Ben and jerry's no longer available too)So for me it's a net loss, I guess.

Massive downgrade since they changed the banner to Maxi. I don't understand the move. Discount store is already well served in the area with Segal and the like actually offering cheap offering. Its also a big mess in there. Hopefully they manage to reorganize themselves soon.

Absolute disaster after converting to a Maxi. Services such as the kitchen are completely gone. The meat section is almost nonexistent. No ground beef, the only chicken breast/thigh were in giant family packs and the majority of the chicken is wings or drums. Not to mention, half the meat section is sausages for some reason?Maybe it'll get better over time as they just re-opened last week, but as it stands now, it's awful.

Having just opened, the kitchen supplies section isn't yet available, and the self-checkout line is a bit chaotic. The selection for everything else though is as good as most other Maxis!
