Scotiabank has become the worst Canadian bank. When I started with them over 30 years ago, the service was excellent, but unfortunately it has gotten worse. For example, I am given an appointment, but no one is in the branch and finally the advisor arrives 1/2 hour after the appointment time. ATMs close early. I sent 3 emails to request a payment stoppage, it was not done. I have sent 5 emails to request a refund of this pre-authorized payment, NO RESPONSE TO DATE. We cannot reach them by phone. I will now start transferring my assets to another bank. Please avoid this bank.

They don't have enough cash for withdrawals. ATM doesn't have cash for withdrawals. A bunch of transactions they can't do, sending me to home branch. Everybody is clueless about their own processes.

Je fais affaire avec Tangerine donc Scotia et je suis vraiment satisfaite du service 24/24. Personnel qui répond aux appels de clients sont dynamiques et expérimentés. Aucun problème jusqu'ici (cliente depuis 7ans) et j'apprécie énormément le fait de ne pas devoir payer de frais mensuels pour mes opérations 0$ mis à part les retraits aux guichets automatiques dans les autres succursales que Scotia ou ATM qui eux chargent $2.50.Si on calcule annuellement l'économie d'argent que je fais en ne déboursant pas de frais mensuels d'opérations, c'est plus que considérable. J'économise minimum $200 par année.

Je n’ai malheureusement pas eu des expériences avec des autres banques a Montreal, mais avec mon conjoint on a changé trois fois de succursale (square victoria, Prince Arthur et parc) et dans les trois l’expérience était terrible. Le service à la clientèle ne peut pas être plus inutile, les conseiller je n’en parle même pas. Le seul plus de cette banque c’est les points cinéma, ce qui lui donne droit à une étoile.Juste faire un simple virement entre banques nationales (Toronto par exemple) ou à l’international c’est l’enfer, dans certains cas impossible. Et comptez pas sur les conseillers pour vous aider, ça sert absolument à rien.Donc non, je ne recommande absolument pas cette banque.

I tried to make a withdrawl there today during the posted ATM opening hours but the door to the ATMs was already locked and there was nobody around. Thanks for wasting my time!

Advisor never showed up to my appointment (nobody came reached out to tell me). Another advisor had to substitute, I had to take time off for this meeting and it is now 45 minutes past when the meeting was suppose to start and Nobody has come to consult me. Don’t waste your time at this branch.

Absolutely horrible customer service, I am regretting the day I opened a bank account with them, regretting even more trying to get a credit card. They have never availabilities and even worse they cancelled on the meeting I waited for 2 weeks with no excuse and rescheduling.A customer should never chase a bank to get a credit card with them, never.
